What Students Say

Likes

Teching Methods of Professors. They teach us in such a manner that we can understand.
All the practical labs are neat and clean and the instruments have minimal error.
The behavior of all the supprt staffs are appreciable.

Dislikes

The behaviourn of the secretary is rude.
University management always harass students in official works.
They do not co-operate about filling up any forms and submitting.

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus for Computer Science and Engineering is so much appropriateto get jobs in further future. They praepare well and also they have language labs for enhancements of communication skill for boost up for the interviews.

Internships Opportunities

In our college, they have placement manager. TCS, Infosys like companies give here internship offers. They also give stripend of 5000 per month. If the student is selected in the company then they will get good packages in that company.

Placement Experience

The campus placements here are moderate. The companies like Accenture, Wipro, Infosys, TCS came here for placements. Their aveage packages are around 10 lpa. And their median package is 14.4 lpa. Overall their on campus placements are good.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure fir 1st sem is Rs. 6772 For 2nd - 8th semester- Rs. 4500 It is not increasing. It is availed by WBJEE. The course is so much affordable. SVMCM Scholarship is available for students over 60%.

Campus Life

My experience in campus life is so much interesting. The seniors here conducted fests. They have clubs like Guitar Club, Drama Club, Debate Club, Badminton, Cricket' Football etc clubs to engage students in co-curriculum activites.

Admission

Actually I applied for Computer Science and Engineering in Jadavpur University. But I was not able to clear the cut-off for their CSE. So I chose University of Calcutta to persue B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering.

Faculty

Faculty members are so much polite and friendly. They teach us in a friendly manner and suggest books for practice. The exam pattern is 20 marks internal examination, 10 marks for attendance and 70 marks for end semester.

Night Life

There is no gym in my college. But the nightlife cafeteria and library are eyesoothing. The students read books in own manner in library is pleasant. In cafeteria they gossip aabout the whole day events they spent.

Placement Experience:

From Third semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies like P360, EY, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, Neutanix, BinaryWorks and few more visited our college for placements and mostly 15 to 20 offers were made Highest package was around 5 to 6 lpa 50% students were placed I am now preparing for govt jobs and side by side also applying for offcampuses. I have also given CUET for pursuing M. Tech

Placement Experience:

Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from 7 and 8 semester also their are many placement on thee intern companies. thier are total of 50 t0 60 companies that visits year which leads to very good placement percentage, in mining its above 90 percent. companies which come are infosys, microsoft, google , coal india, tcs, pwc etc. the higest pacage was 39 lacs by coal india. as mentioned above the placement is very good and almost everybranch placement is between 79 to 95 percentage of student which are placed, their are many mass recruiter if you didnt get the best pacakge you still have the chance to get a good package from the mass recruiter. my plan after degree is to advance in computer science even if i dont have the branch but i have the passion to do coding and become a web developer also i will try to get some more degree like mba and mtech and i will also try if i get selection to study abroad.

A GOOD COLLEGE WITH GOOD PLACEMENT , SPORTS FACILITY.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from 7th sem. The names of comanies visited are TCS, Infosys, Capegimini,Tech mahindra etc. Some students Got 2 offer laters . Highest packages last year was 47 LPA (off Campus) 27LPA ( on campus). Average pakage was 5-6Lpa. The job role is Software Development. Percentage of Students Got placement is 92-95% In my Deoartment. Other is Around 70_90%. My plans to take placement from product based company.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
