Course Curriculum Overview

3

As I am in first year, I can't be the right person to give a detailed review about the course right now but right now I have we have important subjects and Two irrelevant subjects where in one they teach about computers, ram and rom which are useless and personality development which they do it in a very bookish manner which irrelevant I feel. Exams are easy if you do your job. The management should start making the college a little liberal in order to remove unnecessary stress from students lives

Internships Opportunities

3

Mostly people I know manage internships from outside because people don't pay attention to internships from college and some professors give good projects but students really work on them. Projects and learning outcomes depends on the faculty

Placement Experience

3

The university has a dedicated placement cell that works towards connecting students with companies.they conduct training sessions on soft skills, aptitude, and technical abilities to prepare for future. Reputed companies visit but median salary is very low

Fees and Financial Aid

Presidency uni offers a well maintained campus and a structured academic curriculum, but unfortunately the management and administrative policies leave much to be desired. The management system is one of the most frequently criticised aspects of the university. Students often report a lack of transparency in decision making, unreasonably strict rules and inconsistent communication. While discipline is essential for a conductive learning environment, the university's approach seems excessively stringent, to the point of feeling counterintuitive. Talking about the fee structure at first you have to pay 25000 for registration fees than after that 115000 for the semester and for the first 2 years total you have to pay 140000 and the later three 160000. Different people from different backgrounds like Kashmiri quota, sc/st quota you get all that. The fees is okaish in time and age, according to me. Law department has a good reputation compared to other departments, after talking different people from my college from different departments. Law and management departments are okaish compared to other courses

Campus Life

3

We have a invencia fest which is big fest going in our college where there is lot of crowd and lot of things and fest also goes where reputed personalities come. Although the library is small but we get access to online libraries. We get projectors for our classroom which does the job and also computer lab Sports are limited they don't have indoor badminton hall and they to tie up with different organisations where students have to different places for practice And there are a lot of student led clubs which is nice thing to have

Admission

I tried for different colleges like Christ, st Joseph's, symbiosis law college and also gave clat. But due to my gap of three years I had problem getting the admission and friend was studying here so I thought it's a good decision to go to this college but it's not that good. I was studying psychology in my hometown but I dropped out because of bad surroundings and lack of opportunities, I could have gone to kiit but I had to come out of Odisha. The admission procedure of this college is simple I got a call, they did a quick interview and I got the admission because of my CLAT results and it's not hard to get admission in this college, anyone can take admission if they contact the college and if you are not in the bottom it's easy to get admission

Faculty

4

The teachers from law department are very approachable and 1/3rd teachers are very good at teaching but teachers leave the college after one or two years because of bad management of the college. There is Yusuf sir who is great teacher because he is a ex faculty from NLU. Some teachers are very knowledgeable but there communication skills are bad it's hard to hear them in class. There are two semesters each year where there are midterms, end terms and a lot of projects and assignments. But because of bad management students cannot give exams because of attendance issue.1/4 students face some kind of year back or sem back because of this

Night Life

1

There is no night life in our college because it's in a literal village sometimes it's scary to go out in night that's why I shifted to a more populated area. Inside college there are a lot of hangout spots like cafeteria, different coffee shops, and natural places with greenery but I mostly hang outside college there are some betel shops and cafes. Hostel timings are literally the worse(I don't stay) people have to enter before 7 so basically there is no night life you have stay in hostel itself. And the locality is not safe at all, local people create a lot of havoc, fights etc

Placement Experience:

The placements of Christ University Bangalore, are pretty decent. Students are eligible to get placements for the 9th semester, and there are a lot of companies that come for campus placements like Shardul Amrchnad Mangaldas and Cyril Amrchand Mangaldas, Khaitan, Puviyah and co., Trilegal and etc. The highest placement that went last year was 23 lakh, and the average placement is 6-7 lakhs. My plan is to do litigation after getting a degree.

It's the law firms like Wadia Gandhy, Dsk Legal, Trilegal and others. Some merchant bankers too are now a part of our placements thing and this is where it is getting interested as we are getting to explore new opportunities. Pay as of now is around 4-5 LPA but I hope it increases to atleast 10 by 2030.

The university has a placement cell which is helpful. They help us get internships in which place we want (only if we are eligible). The placements are nice which are reported by the seniors. We got to know that most of the seniors had a starting package of 7L per annum.

Mostly it's the law firms like Indus Law, Globus, PICT and others. The payment scale therefore is less when it is compared with NLSIU or other NLUs. Some private companies like the UB Group and ITC amoung other others are also coming to hire students who have chosen corporate law as their main electives.
