Course Curriculum Overview
Our course curriculum is designed based on industry requirement. The curriculum is changed every 2 years based on inputs from industry. The exams are a bit rushed at the later parts of semester. Rest of the issues don't persist. Our doubts are clarified in the class itself.
Internships Opportunities
I have been offered a role of software engineer at JP Morgan Chase in the year 2025. I will be paid a stipend of 75000 per month. I have no idea about projects as of now. I'll update later about this situation.
Placement Experience
The placement department is the most hardworking department of the campus. They place approximately 2000 students every year in many top companies. They provide training from 2nd year onwards to gain industry knowledge.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tution fee varies based on your category and negotiation skills. Firstly there are students who join by EAMCET and AUCET. In case of good rank in these exams you get a free seat into college at a fees of 1,25,000 per annum. Then there are students who join by management quota. Their fees vary on negotiation skills from 2,00,000 to 3,50,000 per annum. Additionally there's 22000 admission fees in the first year. 8000 other fees per year from second year. Every semester there's an exam fees of 1500. The fees has significant increased just in the last 2-3 batches. It's concerning
Campus Life
There are many clubs to join in our campus. There are 25+clubs in the campus in various fields ranging from arts to sciences. The classrooms have projectors. There are many annual technocultural fests. The libraries are very huge in collection.
Admission
I have applied for this college because I didn't have much options left and this is the best autonomous University in my budget. The fees is affordable and the placements were very good so I chose this college over other options.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is good. It's like 1:4. The faculty are very approachable including the dean. The faculty I liked the most is Dr Aparna who taught me DSA. There are 2 mid term and 1 semester exams per semester. Approximately 20% students fail in at least 1 subject. The courses are very relevant to industry requirements
Night Life
There's not much night life in college as it's a day college. There's no gym but there are multiple cafeteria and library. The campus is closed off by 6pm at Max. Inside college you can go to APJ canteen, The cricket ground.
Other Applied Colleges
Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Too far from civilization, the campus is said to be in madurai but it's 70 km from there. The overall travel from home to that University would be 26 hours.
