Dislikes
- Even though it is labelled as it's in Hyderabad it is actually close to Ghatkesar and very far from main Hyderabad City.
Course Curriculum Overview
Elevate, own and adapt is what our course has taught me. CSE with DS the major subject is what I am studying at Anurag University which is a private institute and is affiliated under UGC. So, our course is similar to what CSE course has in most of the Universities. One can claim theory better than us but practicals no where close to us.
Internships Opportunities
EPAM, Tech Mahindra, Infosys aur many IT companies which are present in Telangana offered intenrships via our university channel. Stipend of 25-30k is offered by most of the companies offering stipend.
Placement Experience
EPAM, Amazon, Tech Mahindra, Infosys and all comes for placements here. Before that though we get a training from industry experts and ex alumni association well. Almost 500-600 students are placed from CSE batch every year through campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
Anurag University is close to Ghatkesar in Hyderabad. Our fees for B. Tech is 2.4 lakhs a year and Aditya Birla has started a scholarship program for merit students. Also, sports students and SC/ST students gets various scholarships. ST students of my batch have got 100% waive off from their fees and were asked to pay just few charges which were around 30000.
Campus Life
Campus is huge and good and tidy. We have an emergency room and because of mishap happens while playing sports as there are so many options in sports. Also, our classrooms are quite big and around 80 students can be easily seated in that. We have events happening time to time like freshers and farewell are common and then an annual fest in DAKSHA.
Admission
Telangana Government has made it a mandate that MSET exams has to be cleared to get admission in most of universities and colleges in Telangana. I cleared that exams and then counselling of the same has to be attended and from there colleges or universities are alloted to the students.
Faculty
The AI and Data Science revolution has changed a lot of things and therefore our faculties too have been replaced by many young guns now. We have very young and dynamic faculties who are willing to put in more energy then the experienced ones. Thus one which faculty miss Ruchitha Devu has won my heart.
Night Life
Anurag University is very very far from Hyderabad. Daily 9 to 2 classes and since I was from Hyderabad, I used to take college bus and go back home and it took more than one and a half hours for me to reach home daily.
