Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose data science because everyone needs a data scientists or analaysts no matter what sector to arrange their data and to improve their business etc. What we really have to do is in clgs they just explain you like basics we have to dive deep in the topic to really understand and make it work so i dont think clgs really give u that level of academics there are always something missing which clgs dont provide. Areas for improvements in the course would be by not giving students handwritten works like we r studying to get a job and work on a computer by giving us record, assignments and all just wastes our time even if u want to give some work give us on our computers or laptops the frequency of exams are very exhausting they be testing our limits i would prefer only one internal theory and lab rather giving 2.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for the course computer science (data science) is 2.5lakhs donation +93,000 clg fees per year if ur from management quota if convenor the osmania university fees is 9,500 per year.I've applied for scholarships am in 2nd year sem 3 I haven't received any money. For the fresher year i used to go to clg by clg bus, its fees for 1yr was 22k this year they increased it to 24k irrespective of the distance. They took around 2850 for lab coats and 4 records in first yr and in second yr they only charged for 3 records which was 360.The sem1 exam fees was 2850,sem2 2750,and now sem3 2650.Revaluation fees is 1200 and recounting is 100 each. They didnt take any condonation in 1yr for attendance but they're start taking from 2nd yr which is about around 1500-2000 if ur attendance is above 60%, 5000-8000 above 30%, and maybe detained if less than 30%.As an autonomous clg they make their own rules. This year our clg intake was around 1200-1400 students, and last yr it was 970 so I think they'll probably be nuetral about fees atleast till the next yr.

Campus Life

2

Liet doesnt really focus on physical development of their students for freshers they have only 1 period of sports in a week that too will be taken during exams. If they keep sports period everyday at the last hour everyone will come to clg regularly as they get to play everyday and our attendance will also be improved taking classes daily for 6 hours obviously will tire up students and makes them dont wanna come to clg. They dont have proper training and practice sessions they keep sports fest for 3 days and done never again then there are many clubs in this most of them are timepass so overall extracurricular activities and sports are very poor in liet.

Admission

In hyderabad the avg fees for engineering is approx around 1lakh per year which is not affordable by middleclass families i didnt choose lords though my first priority was mjcet, cbit, vjit, etc lords was my ig 6th option but in 3 counseling i got lords 3 times and the same course so ig that's destiny also lords is autonomous so its kind of good. Admission processess are easy for convenor you have to pay 10k and for management u have to pay the donation respective of their course every course has different fees so exam u need to write to qualify into clgs like these is eamcet

Faculty

2

The faculties are mostly from outskirts and are not from hyderabad there are hardly 5-10 faculty from hyderabad other 85+ are from different states they dont speak good english they dont explain like how they should be they just want to get the work done. Data structures subject explained by sir yaser deserves 5 star honestly he is fun in between and the only class that i listen with most interest the way of his teaching is very good.Python programming sir shams he has the ability maybe he needs some proper training he cannot control the class.I had 9 exams in first yr with 5 theory and 4 practical i think from around 970 students atleast 400 were failed in atleast one subject thats for sure now i cant tell the numbers YET cuz am not a data analyst for my clg YET.

Night Life

3

There's no nightlife in our clg as its only clg and not any hostel no gym we have canteen, the most unhygienic place to eat over costly food which is not even worth it only freshers sit in canteen and there is only one canteen for all the 4 yrs students, our library is good that i agree its huge and yes the locality is safe to roam around its peaceful

During 3-1 , we get only one internship i.e JPMC offering 75,000 per month which is of 3-month internship. Thhis year it took around 16 students. through coding round, hire vue interview and the hackathon process. I was selected to hackathon but sadly due to communication skills lack, I was not selected as intern , although I passed coding round, hire vue interview and entered hackathon. From 4-1 onwards we get placement oppurtunities like Deloitte, Chubb, oracle, DE Shaw, etc companies visit and offer good package only.
