Likes

College location is very nice , airport is near around 43 kms
Girls to boys ratio is nice , faculty are also good but bit strict .
So many fests are conducted every year .

Dislikes

Mess food even for us south people are very worse
Extra curricular activities are not so much to do
College campus is very small just 25 acres

Course Curriculum Overview

College is autonomous and not affiliated by vtu which most of the colleges are affiliated to in Karnataka , so after being an autonomous college we have updated syllabsu for us that helps us to learn new gen technology

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 51660 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship is not provided by our college we lack in these terms for such core branches , we would love if some better opportunity come to us like internships and other placement opportunities for us .

Placement Experience

Placement to be honest for core branches in our college is not up to that mark we have to do a lot of efforts to crack off campus placements or either prepare for software companies . The highest package of our college went to rs 25 lakhs and average package was around rs 7 lakhs

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm a kcet student , I gave kcet exam as I'm a resident of karnataka and got admitted to this college through kcet into dr ait and got mechanical branch . My branch fees for tuition is rs 51660 per year .

Campus Life

Campus life is not so good but ok ok you can say , but there are some sports facilities in our college like basket ball court , football ground and cricket ground . Before few days a new indoor sports complex was inaugurated by our present CM of karnataka .

Hostel Facilities

I stay in ananda bhavna hostel of our college and we have some other hostels too in our college , the ananda bhavna is the oldest of all hostel and I pay rs 82 k per year for this hostel which includes mess and hostel stay fees too .the mess food is not that great .

Admission

I gave kcet exam as I wanted to opt for engineering , and at my rank I got mechanical branch is this college , I didn't gave any other exams as the fees through kcet for karnataka colleges are also low .

Faculty

Faculty members of mechanical branch is ok okk ,since it's a core branch so many opportunities are not there , the college do lacks in these things for core branches like civil and mechanical engineering

Night Life

Since our location is good where our college is situated so we have a lot to explore you can say like hotels , malls , other gaming places . The hostel closing timing is 10 pm in night for boys and 7:30 pm for girls in night

students can be eligible for placements from 3rd year only, many companies have visited the college like TATA,Accenture and many other.The highest package for this year is about 19 lakhs , average package is about 3 lakhs,talking about the percentage our college has 77% of the college placements, i am planning to pursue higher education after my graduation

Placement Experience:

We enter the placement at the end of 3rd year almost at 4th year(6th to 7th semester). The placement cell organizes various traning program, including mock interviews, group discussions, and communication skills workshops. Past 3 to 4 years more than 10 companies per year offered hiring 100+ students. But over the year the companies have come down and providing les opportunities. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, etc recruite students from this college. The highest package is 25LPA and the average package is around 6LPA. Due to the increase in the rate of admission, the percentage has been decresed. Almost 25 out of 100 students are getting placed in this college. After getting degree, I will try my level best to get placed in campus itself. If not, I am interested more in Competitive exams, I will focus on it.

Placement Experience:

From the 6th and 7th semester students are eligible gor campus placements. Students are asked to apply for the campus placements from the career development department of the college according to the marks. Some companies visited are like jspider, qspider, Xworkz, kodnest, Infosys, 3 q sutantra, toyota, triveni,idea infinity,edgeverve, eton ,dfm technology, tata elaxi, enventure and many more. And highest package in 8 to 12 LPA. The students are placed according to the companies requiments min 20 students are placed outof 50 students My plan is to get a good, high paying job after completing my graduation.

The Pros and Cons of being a student at MIT Manipal

Placement Experience:

From the7th sem onwards campus placements are put in place for btech students. Many companies such as microsoft, google, BMW, mercedes, accenture and others look for students here. The top 100 of each branch get the highest packages with the average of that being 22lpa for the cce branch. The rest of the students that are placed have an average salary of 14 lpa. Almost all the students are placed with the placement rate being around 90% for my branch. I plan on working for 2 years after getting placed and then pursuing an MBa degree abroad to further my tenure as a valuable asset to whatever company takes me under their wing.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good in college . Highest package was 52 lpa in 2024 and average was 9-10 lpa. But the percentage was very less in 2024 because of recession and negligence of placement cell and their bad decisions.

My honest review

I mainly choose this college because I felt our college offered more campus placements compared to colleges that I got selected into . I applied to every top colleges for courses such as CS ,IS and AI .But I was mainly aiming to get selected into Nitte Meanakshi Engineering college, SIT institute of engineering , DR Ambedkar Institute of technology, Acharya Institute of Technology , CMR UNIVERSITY . So First I got CMR college in first round , In second round of counsilling I got into Acharya institute of Technology, I though cuttoff would fall for 3rd round so waited for third round and got into Dr ambedkar institute of technology. I mainly aimed in getting selected into SIT college or Nitte Meanakshi college but cuttoff was higher compared to my Kcer rank . So I got rejected from those colleges .I think colleges I got rejected has more Internship and campus palcement compared to our colleges . I also heard SIT college has compulsory involvment of students in hachathon to attend placement classes . Admission process was simple , after i got selected into college I paid government fees through NEFT and brought the receipt and gave it to college where I also paid 12,000 rs towards college . Mainly students get into college but KCET or COMID-K exams . Generally kcet cuttoff was 18,000 for my cathegory and comidk cuttoff was nearly 20,000 . Mainly students prefer KCET as fees we pay is nearly half comapared to comidk exam fee...Read More
