Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum we follow is the 2019 curriculum. In my opinion it could be so much better but that is upto the university. The frequent changes in exams and the pattern is very concerning. We will be preparing for one thing and suddenly they will change it. Sticking to a curriculum and proper exam dates would be so much better. The frequency and timing of exams could be better, especially in the final year but that could change yearly. They could have conducted exams earlier with lesser portions.

Internships Opportunities

3

The internship is quite a hectic period. You have to work a long time and only receive 7500 every month. I wish they raised that stipend .You can do researches during you intership which will be useful for your future especially if you are planning to go abroad.

Placement Experience

3

Well In case of MBBS after we finish the final year we have to work as an intern for one year in the same college or different one. After that you can go to a different hospital and work as an junior resident while you prepare for your NEET PG but that is optional.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee 595000, but changes for different years. Admission fee 2500. Miscellaneous fee 134000. Since I have reservation i only have to pay the hostel and mess fee that is 119000. Egrantz scholarship is available for OBC students and you will get yearly 3800 plus monthly 200. Other scholarships are available for backward castes like ST etc.

Campus Life

3

Campus is really beautiful but since the profession is more study oriented and the management is very strict in that matter we have very less extracurricular activities. But we do have a good Library with lots of books and easy access. Very nice faculties and some programs once in a while . There are clubs but I wouldn't say they are very active.

Hostel Facilities

3

If I were to talk about the hostel facilities, it's actually very nice. Spacious rooms, timely meals and too decent meals, menu could be a little better but no complaints and any complaints are solved as soon as possible. The mess fee could be a little less compared to the food provided.

Admission

It is not about me choosing this college. You are assigned colleges according to the rank you get in NEET and According to my rank I got this college. You need to get good ranks in NEET to qualify for an MBBS seat. I cannot comment on it exactly since it changes every year. After that admission procedures are easy since Al you have to do is come to the college and fill in the forms and pay the fees.

Faculty

5

There are 150 students in my class. The facilities are very nice and informative but each with there own individual ways of teaching. The patient student interaction could be much better but there are always limitations and that is understandable. Every year there are two internal exams and one model exams before the university exam. In between there are class tests and end posting exams after every clinics. All these marks are tallied up to see if you are eligible for University exam i.e a minimum of 40 percentage along with minimum 80 percentage attendance.

Night Life

3

The hostel rooms I stay in is for three people.it was large enough with lots of space and attached bathroom. There is a mess in our hoste where food is available at the right time also there is canteen if you want to eat something else. Hostel do have a gym but there is another one that is in the campus but that is not really free and you have to pay for it. The garden is one place we like to hangout since it's peaceful and Beautiful also there is a small tea shop if you want to talk over some tea. But you have to get back to hostel within 9:30 pm and I do wish that time was a little extended.

Other Applied Colleges

St. Xavier's College for Women | Master of Science [M.Sc] (Microbiology)

Because I got admission in my current college for the course I liked.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is a bit tough rather than other courses (professional courses) MBBS is a 4 year course with 1 year compulsory internship dealing with a total of 13-4 subject over the 4 years The curriculum prepares us for the real world experiecne but more often the clinical subjects aim in patuent student interaction that overall help in the achievemnt of professionalism The frequency if exams are very high as there needs to be regular revision of subjects in order to prepare for the finals and perfect in all clinical theory and oractical aspects

Reviewed on Nov 30, 2024(Enrolled 2021)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is of high relevance as it ensures that the student learns everything he need to learn in an mbbs life to become a good doctor. The curriculum we are now following is decided by the National Medical Council (NMC) of India and is CBME curriculum. The curriculum include many Self directed learning methods and small group discussions etc which makes the learning interesting and easy. The curriculum definitely prepares the students to become a good doctor in future. Some minute improvements are still required like no need of these many SGDs for community medicine and forensic. It'll be better to include more field activities in community medicine . The frequency and timing of exams are sometimes a burden for the students as the exams are so close and they are not getting enough time to improve themselves which may affect their confidence. Sometimes the exams are scheduled in between some meets conducted by university which makes it difficult for the students to participate.
