Course Curriculum Overview

5

BITS gives the students a lot of options from which they can choose the course they like(definitely there will be some mandatory courses) in electives and can choose the faculty as well and can create their own timetable.

Internships Opportunities

5

There will be lots of internship opportunities at the campus. There will be a mandatory 6 months internship in which you can choose the companies you want to work with and can provide the priority and then management will help you get the internship at those companies.

Placement Experience

5

Campus placement is pretty good. At campus you get opportunity of 2 months internship from there you can get the PPO. Also we get an opportunity to do 6 months internship at the very good organisation and from there one can get the job offer post internship. Other than this this is also a placement session.

Fees and Financial Aid

In 2016, yearly fees used to come out to be 3.5lac but not it's somewhere around 6lac. There are few scholarships (MCN, SAF) as well that we can take benifits according to the eligibility and amount will depend on the CGPA and the financial status of the family.

Campus Life

5

Campus life was very good as there is no policy of staying out of the campus. So everyone used to stay at the hostel and that helped in making stronger connections with the bach and got to know most of them.

Hostel Facilities

5

There were separate hostels for girls and boys and everyone was provided with a single occupancy room. Rooms were pretty spacious. There were people that did used to like the mess food due to the other options at the campus but I liked the food.

Admission

I applied to IIT, NIT, UPTU and BITS. I choosed BITS because of its brand value and the kind of exposure it provides to the students along with freedom. I was not able to make it to IIT due the the low rank.

Faculty

5

Faculty to student ratio - 1:15 Faculties were friendly and very approachable. Earlier there used to be 2 mid term and 1 final exam in each semester but now there is 1 mid term and 1 exam in the end of the semester.

Night Life

5

There was very good gym facility. Campus is pretty famous for its huge auditorium and library. Main gate of the college used to get closed by 10pm but inside the campus we could roam, play and eat till 2pm and then hostel gates used to get closed.

Placement Experience:

From 4th year 1st semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. About 10-15 companies visited our college with minimum 3 lpa. And only 30% of students are placed in the campus placement. Companies like virtuza, movate, cognizant, hcl visited our campus for placement. The highest package was 4.5 lpa and lowest was 2.8 . My plans after getting degree is work in a reputed mnc.
