Course Curriculum Overview

4

The reason that I chose this course was because it is a research based program and offer greater emphasis on research. The happen twice each semester and curriculum is relavant to the course. This along with good internship and semester exchange opportunities offers a great real world experience to all students.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are internships available with students as well as campus ambassador programs. A few students got placed in companies like DE shaw and Goldman Sachs. There are campus ambassador programs from companies like intel and matworks.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees being paid per year is 5 lakhs for tuition and 2 lakhs for the hostel and mess charges. This is inclusive of all charges of lab and library. There are scholarships available for high performers in board exams. 95 percent and above and for sports achiever. The fees for engineering is around 7 lakhs.

Campus Life

4

There are plenty of student run organisations inmates shiv nadar. Students get plenty of opportunities to take part in clubs and extracurricular activities which give a good opportunity to gel with our seniors. The classrooms are air conditioned and are equipped with state of the art monitors.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostels are twin sharing and quad sharing. Some of the rooms are equipped with air conditioners. All rooms have ceiling fans. Every hostel has a washing machine, 1 per 100 students, as well as a pantry equipped with toaster, microwave , an electric kettle and an electric stove. The mess serves breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as evening snacks and midnight snacks. The menu usually includes a vegetable with pulses, salad, rice, roti. There is an option for chicken as well on all 7 days for all 3 meals.

Admission

The reason I chose this college over other colleges was because of the global engagement opportunities that it had to offer as well as the campus infrastructure. This program also had greater emphasis on research compared to other programs. The process of admission included an exam called the SNUSAT. For the eligibility you had to have a minimum of 65% in class 12th in 4 subjects including English and maths.

Faculty

4

The student to faculty ratio is small and the faculty is approachable during office hours and even afterwards. Dr Mandar Oak, Dr Qazi Azhad Jamal and Dr Komal Malik are all highly qualified and good at teaching. The exams as quizzes are moderate to difficult and most of the students clear the exams.

Night Life

4

The college has plenty of activities to engage in after classes. Their is a well maintained gym accessible to all students and faculty as well sports facilities with well trained coaches. There are local hangout spots like SARC, CnD and AnB where students can get together and unwind and enjoy some snacks.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For mathematics it has the syllabus and for physics also defense studies is the subject that I'm here . I'm in 1st year so there is some baiscs so i can't say that it has a lide changing chapters but i have heard that in 2nd year it is going to be very interesting. And I'm very excited!!. All three subjects are very interesting but I'm also seeing mathematics as an interesting subject . If you want to be a scholar in the university you have to choose your favorite subject and just stick to it, it'll be very helpful. Yes for skill development class if students want tp learn that skill for real please teach them carefully, otherwise it's just waste of money time and effort. Timings are good there are back to back exams in which you'll be preparing for exam for whole year not a single month to waste which is good from my perspective. Difficulty level is moderate, if you solve pyqs and similar questions you will score good in exams . You will require good amount of practice and speed for 3 hour exam .

Course Curriculum Overview:

Go for interest when an option is given to choose between a subject Some courses are taught useless as they have no real world application or any use in that field The curriculum could be a bit less because it'll make easy for students to gather with interest, the knowledge Timing is given for preparation of the exams and are moderate to difficult.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose bsc bioinformatics as I love programming and research sector as I took pcb in 11th ... I couldn't go for btech ... But then I researched and found about this course which need computer skills with biology background.. a perfect match for someone like me.. after the pandemic and technical growth in biology sector .. bioinformatics became one of the most growing area .. In india it's rare to find people know about this is even a sector so yeah less competition and big opportunities to work abroad .. But I am pursuing this course in this college which have very bad curriculum..the faculty isn't proper to teach us about bioinformatics and we are just study the syllabus of biotech in a mixed class ... I will rate it's a bad idea to pursue bioinformatics from Swami vivekanand subharti university...
