Likes

The campus is very spacious and lush green
Seperate buildings for all the departments and well equipped labs
Wide range of hostels for both boys and girls

Dislikes

a bit far from the city so commuting might be difficult
blinkit does not work, so adapt as you may :)
might have to walk a bit more as campus is too large

Course Curriculum Overview

well designed curriculm. subjects relevant to current market demand. was intrested in coding so chose cs and yes its been helping me well cracking interviews. timing for each subject is good such that you are already preapred with the subject well for the oa round. great help with coding rounds and interviews

Class Size: 170Course Fees: INR 176000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fee for the course is not much per semester but if you are reserved category it is comparitively lesser. There are no other charges or fee that you need to pay. For SC/ST/PH or General/OBC category with income less than 1 lakh, the tution fee is NIL. Fr GEN/OBC with income less than 5 lakhs it is 20840/- and for GEN/OBC and income greater than 5 lakhs it is 62500/-. Along with that there are other changes depending upon reservation ranging between 22000/- to 30500/-. All these for one semester. There are various scholarships which are rendered to variou categories and incomes and also cgp applied sometimes

Campus Life

It has been a great experience both academically and working with others through varios clubs. improved my communication and removed my stage fear got me to know about various cultures through various clubs and events great infra..spacios buildings and fully stacked libraries, including a digital library. wifi service in the whole campus is crazy

Admission

Chose this college as y rank got it to me, plus it was near to my home. Good nirf ranking MoU's with various well known institutions such as IIM Amritsar Placements percentage is very good with great packages Admission is through JEE MAINS ONLY

Faculty

A whole bunch of skilled professors in each department, well versed in their field. course is divided into 8 semesters.. 2 semesters i one year first year being the general year exams are conducted twice a semester :- mid sems and end sems. evaluation in generally relative but sometimes absolute

Night Life

Girls have an intieme till 10 pm soall the fun in the hostel boys have no intime so they do have a night life timings do extend at time of fests we have a gym open for all without any fee great for athletes and players FOOTBALL GROUND TENNIS COURT BASKETBALL COURT BADMINTON COURT

Likes

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess
faculty most faculty members are very much supportive and they guide the students in the right way only
events are there in the campus provided by the campus.

limited practical exposure is provided by the campus and also there should be more hand on international events
infrastructure is not that good , as they were should on the online it is dii
Placement cell provides opportunities but the stronger industry connections.

Placement Experience:

placements at my college are very very good, as everybody gets the chance to sit for the placements at the same level. we get the placement oportunities at the 6th semster also. in my brancg it is very good

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

Likes

good infrastructure , large libraries and practical labs
helpful and large opportunities in campus

Dislikes

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact
academic work is quite high , the schedule may feel hectic especially during examination

The curriculum is relevant and covers core cse subjects like programing DSA and DBMS . it provides good fundamental for placements and further studies , more practical projects and industry based teaching would improve it .

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Dislikes

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time
Placement is decent and average as like other collage

Gym is provided but only for name, no fame , always full

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
