This college was Central Government and was taking admission on the basis of JEE Advanced that are the only 2 reasons to take admission here. I got few colleges but I preferred this. The admission process included entrance exams like jee advanced and jee mains, but priority of jee advanced candidate is more and if seat remain vancant then it is filled through jee mains. I had applied many state government colleges like gurugram university, mdu rohtak, pec chandigarh, ymca faridabad, iist, iiser. Some of them are quite good but in terms of research and computer science engineering were not there so I freferred RGIPT. Our college accepts admission through JEE Advanced results but if seats remains vacant then it gets filled on the basis of JEE Mains score. Cutoff for JEE advanced is not specific but someone just qualified jee advanced then there is a high chance of getting admission here, and for jee mains, above 94 percentile is considered to be a safe score....Read More

I chose this college cause of the tag "An Institute Of National Importance" and this tag will give you a extra privilege during admissions for masters. Admission is also done on the basis of your jee advance score so you get a good peer group....Read More

I was getting a better branch in this collage with more opportunities. But when I saw my other college list that I got there was the lower branches. So instead of getting good colleges like IIITs and BIT Mesra and having lower branches. I choose to come to RGIPT which is also a reputed name but with a great booming branch. I choose this college over others as I was getting CSE branch and also it is goverment college. I applied for NITs,IITs and dtu, nsut. I didn't chose NIT raipur as I was getting lower branch in that college. I coudn't get IIT as my jee advance rank was little less. In my college admission is taken through jee advance and when seats are vacant they take admission through jee mains. 3-4 rounds of counselling takes place and in each round students are alloted different branch based on their jee rank....Read More

I got seats in few other colleges like jaypee noida , DTU ,IIPE but i chose RGIPT because its an institute of national importance and i was getting computer science branch here. Amongst all the colleges where i was getting seat RGIPT was a good option so i went with it. RGIPT takes admission with both JEE ADV & JEE MAINS rank.But ADV is preferred for CS branches. Councelling starts on official website after the result then addmision is done according to the merit list.Cutoff is not very high ,one can get cs if has adv rank in 20'sK....Read More
