Likes
- Our college has a tag of institute of national importance and it is counted along the line of iits, so the curriculum here is quite updated as compared to other state government colleges.
- Infrastructure here is quite good and very well maintained even hostels here are well maintained if we compare it from other government colleges. There are two seater rooms in hostels .
- Faculty here are also well qualified and are very easy to approach and interact. Students here also get a chance to do research work under them.
Dislikes
- Our college is situated in a very remote and rural area so there is no place outside to chill.
- Mess food is not up to the mark, sometimes it is good but again it becomes worse.
- Transportation services are also an issue, we have to go rae barely or lucknow to buy stuffs because they are not available in local market.
Fees and Financial Aid
Total fees of my branch in Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology per year is around 329000 which includes tuition fees, registration fees, admission fees, development fees, lab fees and other charges.
Campus Life
Campus life in Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology is very vibrant It includes fests for sports, tech, innovation, business and much more. Facilities and fundings are given by college itself and student bodies handles and manages all the events here. Library here very well maintained consisting every required books. Equipped with air conditioner and proper seating arrangements, it is the best place to study.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel infrastructure is very good here , despite having a two seater room, enough space is given in every room. Each room consists two study table, two chairs, two cupboards, one ceiling fan and one wall fan and a window for ventilation. Mess here is also descent, here we are provided 4 times meal during a day and food quality is fair here. Menu changes here frequently and new food items are included in the menu.
Admission
The admission process included entrance exams like jee advanced and jee mains, but priority of jee advanced candidate is more and if seat remain vancant then it is filled through jee mains. I had applied many state government colleges like gurugram university, mdu rohtak, pec chandigarh, ymca faridabad, iist, iiser. Some of them are quite good but in terms of research and computer science engineering were not there so I freferred RGIPT. Our college accepts admission through JEE Advanced results but if seats remains vacant then it gets filled on the basis of JEE Mains score. Cutoff for JEE advanced is not specific but someone just qualified jee advanced then there is a high chance of getting admission here, and for jee mains, above 94 percentile is considered to be a safe score.
Faculty
Faculty is to student rato is quite good here and professors here are very easy to approach and they are very interactive. They are always ready to solve your problems whether it is academic oriented or non academic issues, you can ask them freely.
Night Life
Night life inside the campus is kinda average but if we talk about outside the campus, there is no place to chill and hangout. Transportation service in this area is also very poor as college is situated in very remote location and students have to go lucknow for all of their needs.
