Course Curriculum Overview
The thing that actually influenced me to choose this course is to word in the labs and doing experiments. This course is all about real world applications because in this we learn technology and medical and their combination as well, so that we can solve the problems in real world. There is no improvement needed. The timing depends on the questions of exams, sometimes in few subjects it may get difficult but in average it is quite normal.
Internships Opportunities
There are so many companies like CytoGene, and many more. I can only tell this much for now as I don't have broad information about it. There are different criteria for projects in every department. But in our department (biotechnology) there so many successful projects with great outcomes that were got successfully completed and introduced to markets as products like antitick formulation, bio fertilizers, herbal and eco friendly products made by the students of Biotechnology department under the mentorship of esteemed faculties of Biotechnology department. Plus point to be mentioned that the department of Biotechnology is NBA accredited department along with Electrical and IT department.
Placement Experience
From 4th year/ 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements. So many companies visits for packages like 7LPA like Hi tech medics, biotin, pharma companies and many more. The highest packages are 22LPA at Glance, 17LPA at amazon and many more. The average package is 7 LPA. More than 75% students gets placed with high quality package and companies. I have planned to pursue higher studies mtech and phd in my core subject.
Fees and Financial Aid
As a student currently enrolled in the B. tech. program, I am required to pay an annual tuition fee of ?100,000. The total cost of registration and admission is contingent upon the method of enrollment and the fee structure established by the college, which may be subject to change each academic year. There are no additional fees for laboratory usage or development. However, contributions towards the organization of college events may incur other charges. The tuition fee varies for students from different categories, as determined by the admissions office. The fees for my peers range between 5?0,000 to ?100,000 annually. The college also offers government scholarships exceeding ?32,000, which are not merit-based and are available under various scholarship programs.
Campus Life
There is no annual event that is organised by college. But our department organize an event "BIOLIGHTS" every year on Diwali. There is a Library in our college which has all kinds of books and research papers that are essential for our course. And our department also have a departmental library. Facilities are great. To be honest there is no sports or extracurricular activities offered in the college. Our department has a society called SBED through which the students can enhance their skills.
Admission
I only applied for Delhi University and AKTU and I got confirmed in both but in DU I got Bsc Anthropology and in AKTU I got Btech Biotechnology, then I checked both pros and cons for the courses and then I decided to get btech biotechnology. I didn't fill for any other college as I only wanted DU and AKTU. Admission process in my college is all counseling based. To get admission in there the eligibility criteria is above 60% in science stream, CUET is most preferred for admission. The cutoffs varies.
Faculty
The faculty and student interaction is greatly involved in college, there is mentors assigned to every student for development and counseling. Actually our HOD is the best faculty, who corporate with students and faculties, encourage, appreciates everyone and also guides us. There are few faculties whom I don't like because they lack of teaching skills, and doesn't cooperate with students. There are sessional exams held every month, aren't difficult for those who really take proper classes. On an average 2% students may fail to clear exam. The course curriculum is relevant according to our branch.
Night Life
I am not living in hostel so I can not actually tell and my house is quite far from college I haven't visited the college in night. There no place to hangout in college but there is a small field like park where students can go.
