Course Curriculum Overview

5

I was always interested in Mathematics and Computer Science, when I found out the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence is based on my interest, so I immediately knew about what I need to study and hence I went to pursue my interest. However the curriculum is quite backward and somehow senseless. They can be improved by changing the traditional syllabus and creating new syllabus. The difficulty of exam is quite moderate.

Placement Experience

3

The students are eligible for placements from the 6th semester. Recently Infosys visited our college, however the average and highest package was not yet declared but we have heard rumours that the highest package is somewhat around 30 LPA. The percentage of students getting placement is around 65%. My plans after getting this degree is applying for external placements as well.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees is 176000. The tuition fees is 154000. The registration fees is 2000. The seat booking fees is 25000. The cost of bag and id card is 1000. There are no other fees. There are only sport scholarships or foreign quota.

Campus Life

4

Prarambh was the most recent festivals organized by Galgotias Student Council for Garba. Since it is my first year, so I don't have much information regarding the fests. The library is fully equipped with most of the books needed by any student in there 4 years time of study. They can also take the book using their ID cards. The classrooms are completed equipped with 5 LED screens and they have an Active Learning environment where the students sit on round table for studying. There are many social groups run by students for most of the fields including entrepreneurship, dancing, singing, technology, sports etc. They overall enhance your personality.

Admission

I got offer from Indian Institute of Technology Patna for pursuing Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science and Data Analytics. I studied there for 1 year and completed my Foundation degree and then left it as there was not much exposure due to the course being hybrid. The admission process for Galgotias is either having a valid JEE MAINS score or a good percentage in class 12th. The merit list is made on the basis of percentage (most students are selected). Then you get an admission letter and then you pay the seat reservation money. After that ID card money, then your 1st year fees.

Faculty

4

The faculty-to-student ratio is quite low, there are total of 54 students in each section and there are altogether 80 sections of first year. However Dr. Vikash Tyagi, our C programming professor is our favourite. We don't prefer classes from our EVS professor. The exams are quite moderate and there altogether 2 exams and in between, there are few tests.

Night Life

2

The hangout spaces include cafeteria, grounds and and paths. The gym is open till 8 p.m at night, and the cafeterias are open till 7:30 p.m and the gates are open 24/7. The classes start at 8 in the morning and they are continued till 7:30 at night. However I don't suggest roaming around the locality at night as it's dark and alone at night and it's kind of uncomfortable area.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course structure is good of btech but there there is only thing I don't like is that in btech course the subjects in first year are not related to career of students because there is physics, chemistry other irrelevant subjects present in first year but in second year the course become interesting and relevant. Curriculum is good and prepare well for real world applications. The exams comes frequently every month there is a class test but class tests are moderate on the basis of there difficulty level.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for placements in the final year. The college offers basic placement training and assistance. Some local and local-level comanies even visit for campus recruitment with average offers. Average package: 2-4 LPA, highest around 9-10 LPA 60-90 percent students get placed. My plan is to develop my skills and attain a good job or go for higher studies after degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

course curriculum is little bit out-dated, and improvements are needed in terms of syllabus. timing of exams are ok ok. so many assignments are given which is really hectic because their are deadlines to upload those assignments in google classroom. and one thing i hate about college is 75% attendence is must. due to this we do not get much time for our personal development.
