Remarks

It's in some remote area where you can't find some basic needs. And the signal for mobile even gets fluctuated. It is affected by any cyclone or floods that occur in Chennai as it is only 15kms away.

Course Curriculum Overview

Mechanical Engineering design and manufacturing. One of the best curriculum I have seen. Each semester will have atleast 2 design courses that help them to design a product or help them in bringing up a start up.

Placement Experience

Placements aren't that good. But for computers and electronics people they have got good companies like Amazon, PayPal, Flipkart, Paytm and some small companies. But for mechanical they have got Ford,l&t, SVP lasers , Saint gobain etc.

College Events

And intra college event called cluster events adlre held every year in the November and one inter college fest called Samagatha is held every year in the march. This year we called SuReal as our DJ , and comedy night of nicketronix, Kuldeep . Rockshow by Vidyut and pineapple express.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It isn't that expensive as compared to BITS, SRM , VIT,CBIT . But now they are increasing the fees 5k every year I don't know why. We need to do payment by only online. A normal person can be able to bear the fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

We used to get scholarship in the the starting days. OBC people used to get refund of the tuition fees but he had cut it off now. Like some 3 lacs are given as the fund to economically backward people.

Campus Life

Labs and sports are extremely good. We have 2 grounds. One for cricket and one for football.We have a dedicated laboratory block where all the labs are present and a dedicated room called Arjuna for basketball , badminton.

Alumni/Alumna

Yeah they are absolutely helpful. When we conduct and DMPL an intra institute cricket league they help in giving money. They also help in our college cultural fest Samagatha which is held on March on every year. They bring placements and internships to college.

Admission

At first I wrote and exam nmaed IIT-JEE mains! Then I got some Marks and some add ons due to options confusion. Got some 17000 rank. Since I had a brother already studying in this college I had to put this college in my preference list.

Beyond the classes: My College Experience

Placement Experience:

Our college is well known for its placements. Almost many MNC companies like Amazon,TCS, visit our college and recruit the top performing students.Students are instructed to do 30 days of internship in remote,hybrid or industrial online before their 6th semester.During the 7th semester, students become eligible to attend the placements. The highes package offered previous year was 21 lakhs per annum and the average package is around 5 lakh per annum. Here students receive 3 options 1. Placement 2. Masters 3. Government Exams . As far off noe, 98%percentage of students who opt for placements get placed. I want to get placed after finishing my degree.

I applied to NIT CALICUT NIT SURATKAL, NIT TRICHY. For my trial round i got nit suratkal for EEE. But i shifted it to down and kept iiitdmk up..I chose this as it was the only college with Smart Manufacturing. Course and i was intrested in the way the curriculum was set including Cs,ece,eee Nd mechanical.As my jee score was not great to enter cse courses in nit calicut i got rejected there.
