A detailed e-tour of MSRIT

To be honest the course I'm in isn't the 'choosen' one. I always had a preference of getting into a good college irrespective of branch, so this branch EIE isn't the choosen branch for me . The college curriculum is okayish...like there's nothing new in it...what sucks is the Lab components which is the exhausting part of whole semester, Internals here are easy specially for 1st years, so if you planning for a branch change just be sincere and you will be able to Sem end exams are little tougher , so there's a saying that goes here..."internals me jitne number badhane hai badha lo kyuki sem end to lene wali hai :( "...So try getting 25+ out of 30 in your every internal. and yes assignment here are very easy to do so they are FREE marks, don't mess with that

In first year if you are admitted through COMEDK your fee would be 2.7Lakhs(264372) , this includes just the tution fee and a skill lab fee of 30k which is included in it. The management quota fee might vary from branch to branch and seat availability too..I remember one of my friend got into CSE core through management and his fee is 60L+ 16L(4 year college fee). CSE AIML goes around 25L and ECE goes around 20L... A bad news for you if you are getting through COMEDK, the college or the state doesn't provide any scholarship to outside state students...(yeah it hurted me too)..If you are from KCET your college fee would be around 75K to 80K and that too the college will give you options to avail the scholarship so you will save alot coming from KCET.

The college organises 3 fests in a whole year.. UDBHAV - the grand cultural fest held around April May... Techfest - Tech exhibition and events held around August September. KR fest - The Karnataka Rajyostava fest , a Karnataka state cultural fest with all the traditions of Karnataka, held in October and goes for a week . The library is well equipped with books and online material and courses..I feel that's more than enough for any student Classrooms are equipped with smartboards and projectors , and expect this there's just benches and blackboard. The college isn't into sports so if you are a sports enthusiasts you aren't going to be supported alot... but your efforts will be advised. The college has alot of clubs the popular ones are ECELL(entrepreneurship cell), IEEE,GDSC,CODERIT,Stier Racing,EDITHA, Stardust...all are nice clubs choose as per your interest

So this college MSRIT was a backup option if I don't land into any NIT and after all my counselling I was getting NIT RAIPUR Biomedical and MSRIT Medical Electronics, I chose this because of the City (software city, sillicon valley and what not..)..and I've heard that the Biomedical branch at NIT is dead...so I chose this... Here at COMEDK, I wanted to get into RV but my rank didn't land me there I got 30K rank in COMEDK and RV closed around 15k College accept students from COMEDK KCET MANAGEMENT. The admission dept. is helping and you won't face any problems during the process

The faculty here at MSRIT are top notch like I genuinely feel they have the best knowledge except some professors. The Maths department is way too good with every professor filling their patents and working with students in their projects. Although some branches like CSE CORE , ECE , MECHANICAL the faculty here are very strict in checking of answer sheets and attendance, rest branches like ISE, EIE, ETE, CIVIL the faculty here is chill and are considerate when it comes to help students. Personally I feel every professor would be good or bad for you as per your behaviour, I remember my maths professor from 2nd sem the whole class hated him...he hated the class too... but I frequently asked doubts from him after the class...and he actually increased my marks in internals and assignment...so try maintaining good relations with the professor they have a lot of power in their hands!!

Although the College has gym cafeteria and other amenities but the best part is the location of the college. We have a nearest metro just 1.2kms , nearest bus stop just 500m, ISKON temple 1.5kms, and the best part is...a whole big market has been established in these years...with luxury to affordable restaurant, Gym, cafe, The Orion mall is just 1.5kms away...so the college is in the heart of city . And coming to night life... Hostel students there's no night life outside the college, if you are a North Indian please make kannadiga friends they will help you to sort matters with police during night outs
