Faculty is trained and experienced and highly reputed
Curriculum is as per national education policy with variety of subjects
Various societies and clubs available in college to provide exposure

Dislikes

Infrastructure is old mainly in old block
Canteen facility is poor with awful food
Hostel is not available for most of the students

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is up to date and with compliance of government policy. In first semester you will study around 7 subjects and a semester is of 6 months . You can easily score good marks is semester exams if have conceptual clarity

Internships Opportunities

Internship cell needs to make efforts to provide more internship opportunities to students specially after 1st year as it will help to build a proper CV and will help get better placements in final year

Placement Experience

College provide placement opportunities but most of them are for commerce students. Companies like Deloitte, EY, KPMG, HdFC recruit from college. Average package varies around 12 lacs per annum and highest around 21 lacs

Fees and Financial Aid

Annual college fees for general category students is around 16000 per year. For sc/st/ews students it is much lower. Scholarships are also provided to the students mainly from economically weaker students

Campus Life

Overall facilities are good in college but there is need in improvement of sports facilities like proper maintenance of grounds upgradation of infrastructure in old block is needed and tender canteen needs to be changed

Admission

The reason to choose this college over other college is as it is one the most reputed college of university of Delhi and one of the oldest also with a good legacy in commerce stream you will get overall personality development here.

Faculty

Faculty is highly educated and trained with some them publish their own books. Professors like P.C. Tulsion had taught here. Curriculum is as per New education policy with variety of subjects but their is lack in availability of coding subjects as optional

Night Life

Nightlife is fun here as college is located itself in Delhi in your free time you can hangout with your friends in kamla nagar market or go to fancy restaurant in Hudson lane both the spots are near to college

WHY SHOULD OPT FOR DU COLLEGE

Course Curriculum Overview:

Subjects like Law, Management, HRM and Economics really influence my choice for this course. The law and economics part was really something that garb my attention as well as excite me the most. It really helped in understanding HR policies in depth which helped me really world a lot. The curriculum should include more practical and technical subjects which will help in the corporate world too. The exam timings were usually 2 to 3 hours max. And the exam also doesn't come too hard to pass.

The course curriculum of Janki Devi Memorial College is quiet relevant and covers the important areas of the subject in a structured way one of the reasons I preferred this course was it is designed according to Delhi University standards and the syllabus is recognise and useful for higher studies the combination of theory papers skill enhancement courses and internal assessment help in building clear understanding of the subject.The curriculum helps in writing resources and critical thinking skills which are useful not only in exams but also for future academic and professional work at the same time, I feel that adding move practical sessions, workshop, or more project based learning with me the course more engaging and closed to Real world applications. Exams are held in the form of internal assessment during semester and final University exam at the end.Exams schedule is manageable and the difficult level is moderate.

The course ciriculum for bcom is good and covers major aspects like accounts, business law, management,ethics. It help understand the basic concepts and useful for future studies Ciriculum is relevant but somtimes it feel more theory based rather than a practical aprroach. More practical exposure and skill based subjects can be added There might be some needed improvement in teaching as we learn account's and management it feels boring teacher can make it interesting if theu improve their methods Exam happens every 4 month after the end semester the timing of exam is good my 1st sem happened at the December whole month the difficult was not much high my account paper was difficult as it was more tricky but the difficult was managable

DELHI UNIVERSITY - A GREAT HEADSTART

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell within the colleges but numerous are not dynamic and those who are dynamic do not offer great arrangements. As it were Srcc , LSR or St. Stephens offer pleasant placements. Most colleges offer arrangements between 3 - 4 lacs but over said colleges can give you situations with normal 8 lacs. But, I would prescribe you to not go for placements but higher things because it will increment your information and assist you to advance in your work and do it effectively whereas doing work fair after graduation will not allow you to regard merely continuously needed in the corporate world.

The admission process of the college is through Cuet ug admission examination, I had applied to other top colleges of The University of Delhi including Kirori Mal College, Hindu College, St. Stephen's College and Hansraj College, However my score was best suited for Ramjas and I was allocated this college during counseling process. For admission into Delhi University, CUET exam is conducted based on your 12th subjects. Scoring atleast 750 above out of 800 is necessary to get into top colleges like Hindu, LSR, SRCC etc. Then based on the marks , you are allotted the college , there are 3 rounds of allotment.
