Course Curriculum Overview

4

I decided to do this course due to its wide change of career options which provided appointment in private self employed sector and government offices too.. you could even open a own firm.. the curriculum prepare very efficiently for the real world applications, with subject to practical as well as theoretical knowledge.. in my subject of law, moot court and debate competitions are held regularly, which prepare us well enough.. the improvements could be involving and notifying students about the activities of the subject and encouraging them to participate.. the exams are held twice every semester, and are not difficult

Internships Opportunities

3

The college has a placement cell, do it hasn't yet provided any internship opportunity to my batch till yet.. so I guess they are minimal to know internship programs offered, even if they do, it's hard to expect any stipend.. internships are approached and done on your own approach.. only the certificate is asked by the college premises for grading and approval.. the outcomes of the internships are also asked for and assessd..

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for first year was 150k, which included tuition fees, University fees, college kit, value added course fees etc.. from the second to fifth year, the fees was supposed to be 84k.. but it had now increased to 104k per year from second to fifth year.. out of it, 80k is tuition fees, 20k is University fees and 4K is visit fees.. no other charges are layed.. the fees for me and all my batchmates is same.. only for the first year, little concession was provided in the fee for the students who scored 90% plus in 12th grade.. all the students from the management quota pay the same fees.. no other merit scholarship is provided based on college performance

Campus Life

3

The campus life is very happening with sports events, different cultural events, festival events, course events and college's annual event which typically helds in the month of February or March.. cultural and Bollywood events take place in every month.. in the library, all the relevant reference books are available for the students to read and issue related to the course.. the classrooms are well faciliated with whiteboards and smart boards for good teaching and learning.. the sports society organises an annual sports event in the month of October, and go to many colleges in there sports events throughout the year.. all the society, clubs and student support portal are from by the students themselves, making them learn and preach leadership and responsibilities.. though the college does not have a ground of it's own.. the campus is also very small, disabling the students to spend quality time within the campus..

Admission

I applied to many colleges, name the Asian law College and dgim law College.. but I choose DME college over the others because it offers degree of IP University which has a high value then the other colleges I had options of.. I got confirmation from all the colleges I went to because nowadays all colleges are mostly cost based.. in law courses, the only requirement of most of the colleges for admissions is CLAT exam, though some colleges even ask for good rank.. in this college, low ranked are also admissioned, after interview with the deen.. the overall admission process was very easy..

Faculty

4

There are a maximum of 50 students In a class. Each class has a mentor whom the students approach for any guidance.. the mentors are helping and sweet with their kids.. but during the lectures, the teachers are sometimes bitter.. I liked my new mentor due to her sweet behaviour and polite nature. I even like a few of my subject teachers because they are sweet and laughy.. I didn't like a few of my teachers who taught me in past semesters, due to there irrelevant rage and attitude.. in a semester, one internal exam is held, which are not so tough but the checking is strict.. the next come external examinations, which are neither difficult nor are checked strictly.. the course curriculum is very relevant and efficient in learning my subject core

Night Life

1

No nightlife.. the college is closed at 5:00 p.m. on regular days.. in many fests too,, the college gates closes early.. in few fests the college is open till late, and the students could enjoy night DJ and dance.. a little gym is also there and a cafeteria lot of food items.. library is quite spacious and good.. there is no hostel affiliated to college, and the campus timings are 5:00 p.m. in the evening and 7:00 in the morning.. there are very minimal hangout places, that is a amphitheatre and the cafeteria itself.. locality is not so safe as it has villages around.. it has many companies around too.. outside the college, there are many hangout places

Other Applied Colleges

Asian Law College - [ALC] | Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Laws [B.A.L.L.B.]

Because this college was affiliated to CCS University, which is infamous due to its vague certificates and degrees easily availed.. plus it was more cost burdening due to its high infrastructure maintenance

DGIM Law College | Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Laws [B.A.L.L.B.]

Because the crowd of the students was local and not very professional.. it would have caused a bad effect as company also matters.. plus if offered degree from MD university, which is not considered as valuable as that of IP University

At our college to get the PPO is the best way as college hardly has placements opportunities to be honest. Most law colleges though face this issue as placement for law college happens only at top NLUs and all.

Highest package was of 12 lakhs which was offered by Trilegap to one of our students and it was because she herself earned PPO by interning with them for four months. College placements aren't that good as not many lawyers or law firms come to our college for placements.

Not many as Arbitration lawyers and some law chambers which are a prominent name have approached our college to send some students for interview. So, I think PPO is the best way to find placements for students studying law.

Many litigation firms and corporate firms and even institutes which needs associate or young professors come to our college for placements. PPO is what most students get through intenrship and otherwise the next best option is find it ourself as college placements apart for a few are not so great.

Packages aren't as high as NLUs or the other colleges as we hardly get paid but experience is everything in law and we are given placements to experience lawyers and their houses of law. At max 20-30k a month is what we are offered from college placements.

Only 30-40 percent studnets get placed at a salary of some 30-40k as conversion ratio of actual placement is quite low here. We get enough help and assistance but actually only a few manages to. For those who does well in internships gets a direct PPO as our college is a cult name when it comes to legal studies.
