Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum is relevant and covers all essential and basics well. Some subjects are really useful and few could be more updated. Exams are manageable but could be better spaced, we have our CT's after completion of each unit. Overall it's decent for builing foundation in law.

Internships Opportunities

5

The course offers mandatory internships during the completion of the 5 year course in which the college provides the due assistance and support needed. Then the internship report and a viva voce is also conducted to evaluate the student.

Placement Experience

5

Good placements are offered with an average of 600000 LPA, Top recruiters include ( TATA PLAY LIMITED, RRR Legal Advisors ) I would plan to establish my own law firm after completing the course. Various fest and job fairs are organised for opportunities. Placement cell is there to provide assistance in this sphere.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Annual fees to be paid is 1,50000 (paid yearly), and it may increase slightly as per the university norms i.e GGSIPU. This includes tution and other institutional charges. Scholarships are available based on merit and need, helping students ease the financial burden.

Campus Life

5

Annual Events like JUSTITIA, ZENITH and GIBS TED TALKS are held. Talking about the social life , the campus offers ragging free atmosphere any voilation is a matter of ultimate removal or expulsion. Anti Ragging Squad is prevalent students being the members in that. Various festivals are also celebrated with the due participation from various societies like Diwali, Janmashtami, Republic Day etc. Clubs are- Expression, Courtroom, Abhinaya, Mudra, Raag, NSS, Legal Aid Club. For Sports there is a Lakshya Club which offers various sports and extracurricular activities.

Admission

I chose this college mainly because it's close to home, which makes easy. i did consider other options too but conveinience and location were big factors for me. The admission process was smooth and quick based on merit (CLAT) with a reasonable cutoff.

Faculty

5

We get enough attention in class. Most teachers are approachable, and a few of them genuinely try to make classes interactive and helpful. Some faculty member stand out because they explain things really well and are open to doubts even outside the class. Exams are fair- not too tough if you've attended the lectures.

Interview Experience

5

No such requirement like GD, and Interview or any test were there admission process was solely based on CLAT cutoff only and the seats were allotted through the councelling process held by the GGSIPU.

Night Life

5

The college working hours are between 8 a.m to 5p.m , no night life is there. During day time it offers a safe enviornment to roam inside and outside the college premises and even hangout places are there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason why i chose to pursue the degree of BA.LLB is because of enlightenment and awareness it gives to an individual about what is happening around them and the legal and fundamental rights of a common person with no political power in India. The curriculum somewhat prepares student for a real world experience as the degree involves internships from 3rd year onwards. I'm still learning myself so can't tell what's there to improve in studies and the syllabus. 2 exams being held every semester, that is internals and the externals. It comes with a leniency though, because it could be harder but isn't, just enough shall be gone through before the exams. Even if someone pays attention in the class with no notes and not being busy on the phone, he/she can still pass easily.

At our college to get the PPO is the best way as college hardly has placements opportunities to be honest. Most law colleges though face this issue as placement for law college happens only at top NLUs and all.

Highest package was of 12 lakhs which was offered by Trilegap to one of our students and it was because she herself earned PPO by interning with them for four months. College placements aren't that good as not many lawyers or law firms come to our college for placements.

Not many as Arbitration lawyers and some law chambers which are a prominent name have approached our college to send some students for interview. So, I think PPO is the best way to find placements for students studying law.
