Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course curriculum is little bit old and needs to be updated for specially CSE and related branches..first year as a cse student u will be spending much of ur time in writing assignment which will be of no use except that it will fetch u a good cgpa in semester exam..mid sem and end sem exams are conducted...in between faculties will be giving u quiz and assignment for internal marks..

Internships Opportunities

4

Some of the companies which come for placement are Microsoft, Cisco, ibm, Amazon...U can learn coding and upskill yourself with tech related stuff such as front end and backend development or any such skills and collaborate with seniors to get internship..I got to know that some of our seniors got internship in Google..

Placement Experience

3

Campus placements are good specially for CSE and related branches..some of the companies which visit for campus placements are Microsoft, Cisco , Amazon..From last three to four years the highest package is around 44 lakhs per annum offered by Microsoft and average package for cse is around 9-10 lakhs..This year 576 offers were made..

Fees and Financial Aid

One year fees for Btech in CSE which comes under self sustaining course is around 80k. Total 4 year fees will be around 3.5 lakhs. Other branches have less fees as compared to self sustaining branches.. scholarship by college is provided on the basis of CGPA obtained in exams.

Campus Life

4

Many Fests are organised by the college..Xtasy is the techno-cult fest organised by the college every year during April-May.. Some other mini fests are zarzuela, perception..Clubs such as arpeggio (singing) , Amuza (Drama &Acting),zairza (tech), spectrum (tech),cetadel (literary society) and many more clubs are there..

Admission

I gave SET for Symbiosis Pune and viteee..I was getting a seat in symbiosis Pune in cse branch.. However at the same time I also got a seat in cse branch in OUTR BBSR (earlier CET BBSR)..Since the later is government college with good ROI I chose CET BBSR.. Admission to CET BBSR is based on jee main score through ojee counselling...

Faculty

3

Faculties are really great..they are always ready to help you out if u have any prblm..One can share his/her problem with faculties without any hesitation..Most of the faculties are PhD holders and most of them have experience of more than 10-15 years in teaching.. speaking about course curriculum it is old and needs to be updated..

Night Life

4

College campus is having two boys and two girls hostel..for boys hostel there is no such timings..but for girls hostel there is timing around 7pm after which they can't go outside...All books which u will need u can get in the Library of the college..CETgiri is the place where boys hangout..The locality is totally safe to roam around at night...gym and cafeteria is also there..

Course Curriculum Overview:

* I had chosen to do mechanical engineering because I had some bond with machines and it's designing and was also aware with the scopes of mechanical engineering. * In real world the curriculum helped me a lot and still it is helpful, currently I'm preparing for position of junior engineer and there it is quite helpful for me. * I don't think any improvement is required in the course curriculum and teaching methods as everything was good at its place and it's also the responsibility of us (students) to know our curriculum thoroughly and give our best. * Exams were conducted at an interval of 6 months and as said earlier exams conducted were moderate level not too difficult or easy and with studies it can be cleared easily

Placement Experience:

Placements at KIIT University for B.Tech CSE are decent and well structured, especially for students who prepare consistently. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester, although pre placement talks training sessions and internships start from the 5th or 6th semester. The university has a centralized placement cell that coordinates training aptitude tests mock interviews and company drives. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year including TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini Deloitte EY Mindtree LTI Bosch HP Amazon and a few product based startups. Mass recruiters make a large number of offers while product and service based companies offer selective roles. The average package for CSE students usually ranges between 4 to 5 LPA, while the highest package can go above 20 to 25 LPA in exceptional cases depending on the company and role such as software developer or data engineer. Around 75 to 85 percent of CSE students get placed through campus placements. Students who remain unplaced usually pursue higher studies startups off campus jobs or competitive exam preparation. Placement success largely depends on individual effort coding skills internships and communication ability. After completing my degree I plan to work in the software industry to gain practical experience and improve my technical skills. Alongside my job I also plan to upskill in advanced technologies and later consider higher studies or specialized roles depending on career growth.

Campus placement i thik it's in your 4 year of engineering only i.e in your 6 semester. There is a lot of companies visited like jsw ,hindulgo and a lot to go . Jsw provides avg package of INR 12 LPA And it selected only 2 students only. I think girls get placement easily as compared to boys ... companies usually select more female candidates....I think I will go for job rather than doing masters degree.
