What is better, IT in VSSUT Burla or in CET BBSR?

VSSUT and CET are both autonomous universities. Here are some insights on pursuing B.Tech IT at these two- VSSUT is much older. This makes it a bigger brand. But in terms of location, CET is a clear winner. VSSUT is located in the small town of Burla. Burla has no direct air connectivity, and the fastest mode of transport is a 6 hour train journey from Bhubaneswar. Thus, top recruiters hesitate to visit the campus for placements. But the placement stats are good. The students miss out on competitive events and internship opportunities because of the distance from Bhubaneswar. CET is the only government institute in Bhubaneswar other than IIIT. More recruiters visit its campus during placement season. Samsung, Dell and Toshiba are some of the top companies that visit the CET campus. In terms of academics, VSSUT offers a flexible curriculum. This allows IT students to opt for a few advanced subjects. CET on the other hand, has a rigid course curriculum. In any case, make sure to polish your coding skills for a successful career in IT. It is suggested you choose CSE at KIIT University. One of my friends studied there. According to him, there is no comparison between the branch of KIIT CSE and CET. The companies visiting KIIT include major names such as Microsoft, Amazon, SAP, Dell, Intel, HP. Placements are one of the things you must check before entering a university. KIIT offers good investments. The entire academic and non-academic exposure at KIIT is far greater. The faculty members are qualified from IITs and top NITs. They are skilled and cooperative. I am a student of OUTR, Bhubaneswar studying in CSE(AIML) branch.The course fee for my branch is 80,000 per year.The mesh fee is 16,000 per semester and hostel fees is 10,660 per year.For categories like SC and ST the course fee is 40,000 per year.

The overall academic structure is impressive.

Assignments project take most of the time of ours.

Year wise we pay 77000 this includes the tution fee ,caution fee and admission fee. Some of my batchmate pay less because of their reservation category. State and central scholarship are available for all categories.

Our university have provided B.tech,M.tech, B.arch and so many branch.

I am studying in Odisha University of Technology and Research (formerly known as CET - College of engineering and technology). Where I enrolled in Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE).It is best engineering college in Odisha. The total four year course fees for my degree is 442000(4.42LPA). The academic fees for the 1st year is 90000 and we will pay this amount in two phase one half in 1st semester and rest in 2nd semester. The academic fees included all the other necessary fees like tution fees, admission fees, devlopment fees,lab fees and others . My friends also pay the same amount of fees to the college. We also pay the hostel and mess fees extra other then the academic fees. We pay 13000 per semester for mess fees and 1000 for maintenance fees and 10000 for hostel fees . Then total hostel fees is 37000 per year. Our college also provides scholarship to meitious students to 10000 for good studies and our odisha government also provides the scholarship to meitious students according to their category. Our college is best according to fees other engineering colleges.

The coarse fees of the total year is 85000 and it include all the fees like tution fees ,lab fees library fees etc. The fees of my class mates are same for all..thre are many scholarship given by private and government. The scholarship like postmatric ,e medhabruti etc.

Our course fee for 1st year B.tech in branch of Computer Science and Engineering is totally 90000/- from which I paid 5000 in OJEE counseling and remaining 85000/- paid in college i.e- OUTR ERP PORTAL . Because of I am the HOSTELLER i.e I opt. for college hostel so that I paid also the hostel fees of 1st year 10660/- for staying and 28000/- for mess . I applied for the only one scholarship i.e post matric scholarship.

Best option if u r not getting a seat in nits or iiits..

One year fees for Btech in CSE which comes under self sustaining course is around 80k. Total 4 year fees will be around 3.5 lakhs. Other branches have less fees as compared to self sustaining branches.. scholarship by college is provided on the basis of CGPA obtained in exams.

I've paid 85000/- for the Computer science and Engineering B.tech course for the academic year 2024-25 .The above amount includes all the fees like tution, admission, development lab and other charges too.All the categories have paid equal amount of fees.All my batch mates have paid the same.State Government distribute scholarships every year like Post Matric , E-Medhabruti etc. and my college also provides scholarship for meritorious students.
