My Journey in Dibrugarh University

I choose History as my major subject because I like this subject from my school times. And it is a important subject for every competitive exam also to know about the history of the evolution of society, economy and every aspect of human life .As history repeats itself so I think it's better to read it and know how it functions. Here we not only read about political history but also about social history, history of environment, history of feminism and everything.

The yearly admission fee is for departments is 5980 but as my guardians yearly income is low then 2 lakh therefore I get free admission. The fee for centers is much which is approximate 19000. Also the final examination from fill up fee is 900 for departments which is also vary according to the subject. University provide student aid fund for the students will low parental income but not everyone get this opportunity.

In our university various festivals were held like freshers farewell and versity week , diwali holi and various community based festivals as students from various community studies here.It also helps in cultural assimilation as every student can participate in the festivals even though they don't belong to that particular community. In the library thousands of books journals are there . Also library provide free wifi which helps in accessing materials from internet. Every classroom has digital board s which were used for classes and for showing documentry relevant to the course. During the versity week various sports were held form carrom to cricket from dance to writing which helps students in their development.

I also live in a hostel and in my hostel rooms are 2 seated . The quality of the meal is good and they provide are 3 times for with breakfast of roti sabji and sometimes Puri sabji or fried rice and luch and dinner. In dinner they provide meat for 2 days egg for 2 days and fish for 2 days and panner for one day. The admission in hostel is based on merit basis and if a student get a good rank in their entrance they can the hostel seat .

I gave entrance exam for 2 university which were dibrugarh University and Guwahati University and I get selected in both . I choose this University because I already took admission in Dibrugarh University when the merit list of Guwahati University. For the admission we have to give a entrance examination and if you get selected you can take admission here. And the eligibility is 55 percentile in Graduation in any subject. The cut off of my year is 65 out of 100

I like everyone of my teachers.They all are very helpful and friendly hence we can go and share and ask if we have any queries. There are 2 sessional and one final in each semester. The type of exam is moderate. And 2 or 3 students may fail in the exams otherwise students can clear it if they prepare for it.

In the campus we have 4 cafe s and one gym along with playgrounds which are good for gatherings. Also there are 9 girls hostel and 4 boys hostel in the campus and the in timing is vary in every hostel. Famous hangout places include 1. Josag restaurant 2. Juti restaurant 3. Ujonir Adda restaurant 4. DU Adda restaurant Etc
