Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum as far as i am concerned covers up the fundamentals of the software and hardware industry which gives us the basic idea of what and how the industry basically is like flc(fundamentals of logic and circuit) , coa(Computer architecture and Organisation) and mp (Microprogramming) giveing the hardware understability and computer networks , programming langs like c , java , python and dsa , all provide a good idea of what field we will be interested in taking in . I think the curriculum can be further improved by letting us have industrial tours in respective fields as well as encouraging students to do workshops on their own with their seniors guidances to help them. The frequency of exams should be taken in note with 1 mse and 1 ese so they don't have to put tension over the weeks of exam but for what they wanna do.

Placement Experience

2

From what i have heard from the placement department as a second year are not great things because company aren't hiring rn and less and less students are actually getting placed . We are only given the highest package information as of now that is of 13 lakhs other than that we aren't disclosed of any information . Given the secrecy in the placement by the college , i don't wanna take on the on campus placements after my bachelors i will go onto pursue my masters and for which i am preparing for gate.

Fees and Financial Aid

Currently i am in the second year and from the general category admitted through CAP rounds and my fees for the second year were ?1,36,000 and for first year they were ?1,34,000 , with the on top scolarship (rajshree Chhatrapati shahu maharaj shikshan shulk shishyavruti yojana (EBC)) provided by the government due to which my 50% fees were given back to me which were amounted to ?59,610 for first year and for second year it is the same. For Management it is the same as me but they have to pay the full fees and are not eligible for any scholarship and as for obc folks they have to pay half the amount of general category which is 72k and they are also provided scholarship (Post Matric Scholoarship )by the government and as for my SC friends they have to pay no fees at all and are backed by the government scholarship. And yeah for scholarship application a 75% attendance is required.

Campus Life

5

The experience in campus life is great as finishing a complex algorithm on your own , but seriously the peers i have gotten are marvelous they help in things we converse over things we nerds would only talk about . The annual event we have is verve in which many event like sports and concerts happen where people from other campus can come and participate as well . The classes are digitalised with cameras for recording lectures and digital smartboards with good ACs . There are several competitions held in college in which include football , basketball , cricket and kabbadi etc where intercollege events are placed by the student council. Speaking on council there are committees many of them for different filed like CSI , GDG , ITSA etc in which student can join in and organise events and workshops . There are no student-run social groups but i can tell you the committees have good exposure to the students in which they can contribute to the club as well as to the studies they are into.

Admission

I chose this college basically as per my cet score of (97.2%ile) , this was the best option and i looked into the faculty as well as people around my neighbourhood who were studying under this university. So under recommendation i chose this college otherwise i was planning on going to VESIT . I got accepted into this college in the first round in which the cutoff was of 96.8%ile for computer enginnering and it is the most popular course there as well , overall the admission experience was good we had to make 4 copies with original documents required by the university and after fees payment in DD and check up on our cet marks our admission was done , and the teachers were also very cooperative in guiding.

Faculty

5

Each student has to take on 6 courses as per their allotted course in which 5 are compulsory and 1 multi disiplinary course which a student can opt out for the given options . The courses which i was alloted to were fundamental and core subjects related to computer enggineering like (microprogramming , networks , computer architecture and organisation and maths etc.) . The faculty which taught us were quite experienced as well which taught us with their lot of experience and made especially difficult subjects like maths and coa . Our maths faculty which consisted of Dr.Uday Kashid sir , Nasir Ansari sir and Vishwas Patil sir taught us maths so well that the students who despised maths loved it to the core and started taking interest in fields relating to them and build projects around it . The faculty which i disliked no not were too my liking were be the personal development and chemistry teachers due to their idk not persuaviness to engrave their teachings to my personality . This is all i have to say about the faculties and now for the exam we have in second year 2 mid term exams for each subject and 1 ese exam whereas the first years have 3 mid term exams , each on every monday . They are easy to medium level and are on what we are taught in class , almost every student is able to pass on them and the marking sequence is not strict as well , which saves us the trouble of focusing on grade alone and seeing other things of our interest.

Interview Experience

5

Yes we did have GDs and interviews for our courses such as presentation skills in sem 3 and sem 2 respectively . The topics for GD were in the range of things which we had knowleadge like "Is India ready for Electric Vehicles" and sometimes very abstract topics like "Red vs Green" , for these type of GDs we usually didn't prepare anything as before in the GD we were just told the topic and told to discuss it in our own accord with the knowleadge we were possessing. For Interview things were a little different , we were told to get our resume and cover letter ready and we were given a set of questions in which our sir asked us questions like "What did you learn in this project" , "How do you plan on developing skills as an employee" , and mostly basic questions like "Introduce yourself" and tell me your "Strength and weaknessess".

Night Life

3

There is no Gym in our college , there is 1 library and many cafeterias where people can quench their hunger with friends . There is no hostel in our campus , the students have to PG or sort other hostels for accomodation . In our college there is a "DEN" , which is the gaming zone of our college with PS5 , chess , pool , table tennins , air hockey and many more games, all the students go there after studies to unwind and relax while playing these games . The locality is relatively safe but there is nothing to explore off the campus as the bus stop is right outside the college so all students after college ends go to their house straight away and since the college timing is till 7-8 no students should be in college , we never got the chance to truly explore the night life in college.

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
