Course Curriculum Overview

5

My course is B.Tech in IT so why I chose this course because this course gives me deep knowledge of software, coding languages, and networking and little bit knowledge of hardware also so we can also make career in IOT(internet of things) we can unlock multiple career options by choosing Information Technology as a course. The frequency of exams are every week and timings are 1 hour to 1.25 hour basis on how time consuming your subject is .

Internships Opportunities

4

There are various professors that helps to give us internship but in the 3rd year There are many interships based on your knowledge and branch or your skills for a harware person there are various job roles as intern like making circuits or some VLSI things

Placement Experience

3

You will be eligible for campus placements from 7th semester once you have done your internship. There are various companies that visits college every year like TCS ,Works Application, Uniqlo and Amazon Web Services etc Highest package offered was 37.5 lakhs and the average package is 4-4.5 lakhs Every year around 60-70% students are placed in this college I am planning to have masters in IT.

Fees and Financial Aid

So basically my current yearly fees are 160000 but it was 1,53,000 for previous year students and it was lower for super seniors so fees are increasing every year and yes there are various scholarships for students bases on their caste . So I avail scholarship as a EWS student so now I have to pay around 90,000 instead of 1,60,000 for my friends or batchmates some of are got admission through the institutional level so there are no scholarships available for them but for CAP students there are various scholarships like my one friend is paying only 30,000 rupees because he is SC so there are various scholarships like for people having family Annual income less than 8,00,000 they have EBC and etc.

Campus Life

5

There are various events in our college done by various colleges committees and councils like we have verve a annual event for our college that contains sportmania indoor and outdoor sports event various cultures events and algorithm a technical event We have almost all that books which needs in the engineering degree and that are so easily accessible All classrooms have ACs and Smart boards and enough lights all campus have wifi provided The extracurricular activities are also so good like in sports we have various university teams for competitions and I'm also in handball and table tennis university team Yeah there are various clubs , groups, council in the college like dance club and dance team named nove and various technical clubs and councils we have our own band called Apaches etc..

Admission

I have applied for parul university, Sanjivani university, K.K.Wagh college of Engineering nashik etc and I have got confirmation for admission from almost all of them but I also applied in CAP rounds so I have got allotted the Vidyalankar institute of technology also so I researched about every college and VIT Mumbai was best in all of them so I took the admission in Vidyalankar institute of technology, yeah also got rejected by D.J.S.C.E for not matching the cutoff or minority. Talking about the admission process I got the admission through CAP round so I have to visit the college as per I have got the batch with all of the documents mentioned on the website of CET CEll with the 2 sets of copies of it and fees accordingly to my Caste when you will complete your admission process they will told you about various scholarships schemes and give you a temporary ID card.

Faculty

4

So talking about the faculty members they all are so good in their own subjects and having PHD in it and they are not rude also. So in my course we have 5 subjects related to course and one extra subject under the LLC like astronomy , Mastering exel, some finance related, etc course we have. So there are 2 mid semester exams for each subject excluding your labs they only have practicals so mid semester exams are on every Monday morning and every subject have end semester exams in order to clear / pass the subject you have achieve 40% marks in that subject (note-passing marks for theory and labs are individually calculated)

Night Life

3

Yeah there are various gyms and cafeteria are available around college but there is no night life means there is no night life near college campus area because there is slums bedside college campus. The college hostel is 40 minutes away from the college by local train so almost every students prefer to rent a flat or live in a PG , talkin' about campus timings they are 7AM-7PM but students can stay till 8-8.30 PM in college library And computer labs You can visit the marine drive , juhu Chowpatty , explore dadar market etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Relevance: 8.5/10 (High Industry Alignment) The curriculum is highly relevant because it is one of the few in India specifically designed under the guidance of the Ministry of Home Affairs. PSU Alignment: The topics covered—such as Industrial Safety, Petroleum & Petrochemical Fire Safety, and Hazard Management—directly align with the requirements of top recruiters like ONGC, IOCL, and GAIL. NEP Integration: The college has recently transitioned to the New Education Policy (NEP), which introduces more flexible, research-oriented, and interdisciplinary learning modules, making the degree more modern and globally competitive. Practical Edge: The "Fire Ground Operations" (FGO) are not just physical exercise; they are a live application of the hydraulics and chemistry you learn in the classroom.

Teaching method in college needs to evolve and college needs to encourage the coding and development culture. And as for exam, for every subject exam iseasy to moderate level but for selective subject (depends on faculty) exam level is difficult.
