Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is there to help students to achieve good knowledge and try to be competitive , it's hard but if you think in terms of student future it's good , It has helped many students including me to reach a good level in my life and have goo knowledge , teachers help too , the timing of the exams is also good .

Placement Experience

3

they are ok , according to them the placements are good but i am still not placed so i will not say more on the topic but as i have talked to my seniors they say you need good CGPA and some soft skills to get placed or to crack an good internship , the average package is Rs.6,00,000/- and my plans is to have a good job within 4th year.

Fees and Financial Aid

So if you want to know detailed fee structure you should visit there official website and mine is Rs.85000/- per semester , but now the fees has been increased to Rs.100000/- per semester, remember there is also another fees like bus fees or hostel fees and then Rs.20000/- at the starting one time payment.and if we talk about scholarships I have not heard of any in my 2 and half years at university and remember they don't even provide bus pass for government buses.

Campus Life

4

Well personally I will give 9 out of 10 to campus life , but as I am not a hosteller , I do not get to see most of it , some of my friends are and they really love the campus life , I really care less about social aspects , There are many clubs you can join when you are at university , they give you good value , some are paid and some are free but you will enjoy them. I am also member of Open source Chandigarh and it has given me so much value and I really enjoyed a lot with like minded people.

Admission

Ok so I have applied to Chandigarh University and Thappar University , the reason I did join and not them is that first i was not selected in b.tech 2022 batch of thappar university because of low percentage , i got mechanical and the reason i did not join chandigarh university is that all the students I talk to at Chandigarh University adviced me not to join, so my only option was Chitkara. Admission process is that you need to have 75% in 12 class in PCM .

Faculty

3

Well the faculty is good and helpfull and they always help students , the professors in this university are calm and composed. They have course materials and other helpful links and guides. The course books are available in the library so you can borrow from there instead of buying them for just a semester. Some of the professors are on contract basis from different companies and do provide better skills on industry level.

Night Life

4

Well as a day scholar , I never really get to enjoy night life , but I have joined some fests at night and they are just mind blowing as I still remember it and according to my freind's prespective who are hostellers they always say to me that you need to spend atleast one semester here to enjoy life and to enjoy what you will never ever experience in your corporate life. Cafeterias are good . I like Subway.

Other Applied Colleges

Chandigarh University | B.Tech

Because I want to study at Chitkara.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in their final year (7th semester). only a few companies made no offers. I can recall only 1 name Nation with NAMO. highest package in Civil branch was 14LPA. Average is 6LPA. for all branches highest was 42LPA with average 12 LPA. placement % is 60-80 among all branches which is improving every year. I am planning for higher education.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as I was interested in Robotics and my parents wanted me to take a core branch. The curriculum is not very relevant but some topics are good and related like modern welding technologies and manufacturing techniques. I think our college curriculum needs to be updated where more new world technologies like AR and VRs should be taught with advance robotics. Teaching methods used are classical I think professors should try to use smart classrooms to visualise the concept to make it better understandable. Exams are moderate level but I think our college needs to reduce exam frequency although we have time but due to exams nearly every month it doesn't feel good.
