Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum is quite relevant according to the changing roles in the market. Many subjects like C,oops in JAVA and many more coding languages are being taught. One area of improvement should be of exclusion of courses like outdated subjects like computer graphics ,etc The papers were quite difficult as earlier it was not autonomous and for me they were hard and i needed to study a lot. Exam pattern is a mid sem along with a end sem

Internships Opportunities

3

Yes there are internship oppurtunities available in this college. Roles offered are website designing, full stack development and much more with confirmed stiped by companies like TCS Ion,TATA etc The projects were simple website building from scratch to make us better understand the experience of that internship.

Placement Experience

3

The Placement is below average in this college as the average package this year was around 8 LPA. A large no of big companies like Amazon ,TCS, IBM,TATA and many more visit every year. The highest package recorded was 20LPA and average is around 7-8 LPA My plan is to become a cyber security expert after graduation preferabal in the placement season

Fees and Financial Aid

For this year as I am admitted as an EWS student the total fees for me was 80380 Rs.(IOT and Cyber) For general category the fees are 141515 Rs for all courses. For OBC category the fees are 80380 Rs. For SC/ST category the fees are 1515 Rs. and for SBC/VJNT its 19245 Rs. Overall Affordable.

Campus Life

3

The campus is quite decent as you get a large ground for sports events and there are many sports councils too who regularly organise sports activities like inter-college and college level tournaments in many sports. The library is well equipped with relevant content of the curriculum. A canteen is available too with good quality food. Many student-run commitees are also present like CSI etc for organising various coding competitions. No ACs and digital boards yet available

Admission

I applied for many colleges in the CAP round of CET but i got this college according to my percentile(80.56) in hindi minority category EWS category. I also applied to other colleges as well but got this according to my percentile. The admission process was quite simple as a pdf was circulated to us mentioning the steps neatly.

Faculty

3

The faculties are quite approchable and are quite firendly as well. Recently i wanted to publish a research paper my faculty helped me in that as well. My favourite mam is Shushma Mam she teaches us very well in a unique manner. I cant name the faculties which I dont like for obvious reasons but they are not that experienced in their respective fields yet they are teaching us. The exam pattern is similar to that of the mumbai university.

Night Life

2

I personally havent experienced yet the night life of this college yet but there is no mention of night life around the campus so i guess there is no staying around at night in this college unfortunately.

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources
