What Students Say?
Likes
- The interactive nature of the faculty, makes it a bit easier for us to clarify our doubts, giving us a easy time to adapt this new environment.
- The infrastructure is adequate. The classrooms, labs, library, washrooms, ground, canteen are quite nice. This year TINT got renovated and it is surprisingly so good.
Dislikes
- As i got into the college in August 2024, the college was under renovation process. It was not appealing as a new student to fit into that environment. The classes used to shift from one classroom to another every few days.
- Some teachers were so strict from the initial days itself. Not a pleasant experience.
Course Curriculum Overview
Tbh i got this specialisation in CSE due to counselling. The curriculum prepares us quite well enough for real-world applications. The teachers should use PPT, AI, animated videos more often to teach us. That will be more useful and effective for us. The frequency of exams in 1st sem is slow, nearly 4 months passed by and no exams are yet conducted. It will be hecitc for students during sem exam as we are not prepared with mock tests or U.T.
Internships Opportunities
MOOCS and NPTEL, are the portals recommended by the college to the students from the 1st sem to gain so many internship oppurtunity. There are so many online courses provided in these websites. This phenomenally helps the students to get more experience before the campus placements.
Placement Experience
From what i know, students are eligible for placement from 3rd year. In the brochure companies like Microsoft, Capgemini, Intel, Infosys, etc. The placement percentage is 82.7. 512 jobs offered. Highest package is offered 32 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fees is approx 1.8 to 2 lacs per annum for B.Tech CSE. More or less this is the only fee structures for my batchmates as well. There are plenty of scholarships provided by this institute, here are some i got to know of: 1. Prime Minister Scholarship 2. Merit Cum Means for the Students of Minorty students 3. Central Scheme scholarship for General/OBC 4. Saksham Scholarship for Differently Abled 5. AICTE - Swanth Scholarship Scheme 6. Central Sector Scheme of scholarships for college and university students 7. Ishan Uday Special Scholarship https://scholarships.gov.in/
Campus Life
Annual fest is yet to be held, there are sports event in next few months. Excited for that. The library is quite big, books from every course is available in plenty of amount. Students run a lot of clubs like drama, sports, etc in which we take part and enjoy a lot. There is a basketball court in the campus and a football ground outside the campus in which we play in our free periods or after college.
Admission
I applied for BITSAT & WBJEE apart from Jee Mains exam. I aimed for BITS Pilani, cracked the exam with good marks enought to get ECE. But i didnt secured 75% in 12th. Wbjee exam went well, got this college and it would have been better or may be best if i got JU. I really wished and worked so hard for Jadavpur University. There are 2 ways to get into this college, through counselling and through direct admission.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is approx 1:70. Some of the faculty are quite friendly and resolves all the querry. The mentor of CSE - IoT , Bablu Sir scolds us for our better future and also talks with us so nicely that we interactive with him. There are 4 internal exams in each SEM, known as CA1, CA2, CA3, CA4. The CA3 is about to be conducted next month, so i will let everyone know in the collegedunia community about the difficulty and pattern. The sem exams are conducted after all the CA and then practicals are scheduled.
Interview Experience
I faced a interview session for admission, it was a guidance session for me to choose my course more wisely. The college takes admission through WBJEE exam conducted once a year. The exam is tough, so i recommed all the students to prepare well.(Aim for JU). Just be clear with your thoughts and the course you want to enroll in and fill the counselling process very carefully.
Night Life
As the college dont have a hostel, so the nightlife in the college is not something anyone should expect. Campus timings for students are generally from 10:45 to 5 daily. The class timing vary from day to day. Hangout places are nice in the campus, there are 3 canteens, 1 cafe. There are malls, restaurants near the college within a range of 1 to 2 km.
Other Applied Colleges
BITS Pilani (Pilani Campus) | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Computer Science)
In 12th didn't secured 75%.
