Heritage - The Untold Story

I choosed B Tech IT because my college is known for its great coding environment. My college is the only private college in west bengal which is in affiliation with GDSC which provides students exposure to the coding world. Recently heritage hack program took place, in which 30 five membered teams out of 91, were selected for the next round SMART INDIA HACKATHON. Talking about my department, We have 63 students in our department and 15 teachers are taking care of them. That makes the student faculty ratio to 4:1. Most of them are phd or btech graduates. i joined the college 2 months back only, since then only internals hahve been taken place. It wasnt much difficult to pass it if you just revise your class notes thoroughly. Sem 1 exam is expected to be taken place in jan, exactly 5 months post admission.

There arev many internship programs taking place here like - Personality Development GD PI skills - 2 month duration Industry Orientation By Experts - Fortnightly Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, TCS, Capgemini, Goldman Sachs provide these opportunities

Seniors tell that this collg provides more than 6 lakh as a average package to the CSE and IT students. TCS is the main recruiter. TCS is the major recruiter that takes up around 35 to 45% of the students. Other recruiters are ITC Infotech, Infosys,Cognizant,Wipro etc. 80% of the students get placed at usual.

They provide some plan that allows you to pay the whole fee after placement. You have to like extra Rs 16k.

The best thing about this college is that it giives you so much exposure to learn social skills. The campus is too big. there is everything for everyone. Almost every popular sport program is held. There is scope for cricket, football, archery, badminton, table tenis, basket ball. The library is one of the biggest library in kolkata. They gave us 4 books for different subjects for sem 1. There is room for digital liibrary too. There are clubs for cricket, debate, dancing, football, basketball, fashion. There is no such website for students but there are many social media page run by students like hitkbeats, heritage__sports on instagram. Telegram channel, named Heritage Institute of Technology Kolkata, is there is over 1.6k members. That grp can be very helpfull if you want to gather in some info about college

Your wbjee or jee mains rank should be under the cutoff for that particular year. Or you can take adm through management quota. You can find the application from wbjee official website(wbjee.nic.in) once the application form is released. For general candidate the application fee is Rs 500, while for st/sc/obc-A/obc-B candidates, it's Rs 400. The govt colleges under wbjee, provides 90% reservation to the West Bengal students.
