Course Curriculum Overview

4

Personally I wanted to join the technical side so I opted for the CS and IT courses in this college from which I got the IT course from CAP round of CET. The curriculum prepares you for real world applications as well as for me the relevant subjects i had were C,OOPs in JAVA,DSA in C,Advance JAVA uptil now till my 3rd sem. The areas for improvement might be to include more coding based subjects and eliminate hardware based subjects we have as IT students.

Placement Experience

3

In 4 yr the placemet season starts. Major companies visited are Microsoft,Google,Apple,Deloitte and much more. The average package this year was 12 LPA and the highest recorded was 35 LPA I dont have an exact data but the current placement is on the decline. Specifically talking about this year in my own course (IT) no student has been placed. My plan is to become a full stack developer in college placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid an yearly fees of 77,638 rs as I from OBC Cap Admitted Student. Tuition fees :- 59,131 Development fees :- 17,739 University fees:- 768 This was the breakdown of the total fees I paid this year. For Open category the total fees is 1,36,768 rs , for VJ/NT/SBC# category CAP admitted students its 18,507 and for SC/ST category CAP admitted students it's 768 rs. For TWFS Students the fees is 18,507 rs, for J&K/CSAB-NEUT students its 24,768, and for AICTE-PMSSS students its 0 rs.

Campus Life

4

The annual event we have is called as VERVE which usually takes place in FEB-MAR months. A lot of books related to the curriculum is been available to students in library along with some self-help books as well. Every class in the college is digitalised with a digital board and well fitted ACs in each class. For sports there are several councils for each type of sport and there are several competitions held as well (intercollege/college level) and talking about extracurricular activities there are many events as well organised by the committees(ITSA,CSI,etc). There are no student-run social groups.

Admission

I chose this college as i didnt got any other college during my cet cap rounds, and i am not regretting it at all. This is a good college i got at my percentile(96.12). Comparing with other colleges I can definitely say this college has better infrastructure and well fitted AC rooms in each class and good canteen food (slightly on the higher side but the quality is good) The admission process was quite simple as well, the college provided us with a detailed PDF of where to come and what documents to bring. I applied to a lot other colleges but according to my percentile(96.12) I got applied to this college in IT branch. The college accepts students from CAP admission from CET and Spot round admissions.

Faculty

4

The faculties are quite approachable and easy to mix-up with. They are quite and friendly and helpful. Personally I like Sachin Sir who teaches coding subjects to us as he has a unique style of teaching where he laughingly teaches us.. I can't name the faculty which i dont like for obvious reasons. She does'nt know how to teach well and half of the lecture she does'nt teach us. I am in my 2nd Year right now and the current pattern of exams are as follows:- Every Monday Test of all subjecs(one subject per week) X 2 and the average of that subjects counts as MSE (Mid sems) ESE (End Sems) at the end of each sem The exams are at an easy to moderate level. Almost all students pass the exams. The curriculum is quite relevant from 2nd yr onwards.

Interview Experience

5

Yes, i have given the CET Exam which is a test for applying to engineering colleges in Maharashtra. The admission was quite simple as everything was perfectly mentioned in the pdf provided by the college itself.

Night Life

3

I have not yet attended the night life of this college yet but according to some functions which i have attended at late night ,the college closes quite early so no late-night activities in this college according to me. There are 2 canteens in total along with some stalls like NESCAFE,etc and they provide high quality food but the price is on the higher side. No gym but the college has a indoor activty area where you can play Pool,Chess,Carrom,Ice hockey and also a PS5 section to play with your friends. No hostel provided.

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
