Course Curriculum Overview

5

Currículum in BITS is nearly the same as IIT, so its probably one of the best in India , even in the world. The teaching methods are really good. And this is the only college with Zero attendance policy, this really gives students to get their work done on their own in their own pace and lecture videos are sent to students if they want to refer them. And exams are spaced apart appropriately. The difficulty depends on th Instructor in Charge though.

Internships Opportunities

5

Though I have not done any internship so far, I've heard that top companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Google , Barclay, ICICI and all have come here. Also BITS is a superb place for start-ups, companies like Swiggy, Groww and all were developed by BITS alumini

Placement Experience

5

Students get summer internships during Second year's end and either first or second semester of their Fourth year. This is called as practice school and most students receive call for placements from the companies that hired them for practice school. And the placements in BITS is really good . Also all three campuses are placed together. Around 89 percentage got placed in the year 22-23 with average around 20 lpa. I plan to do masters after I get my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The corse fee is 259000 rupees per semester so would round upto 518000 per year. But I got 10% scholarship through Merit cum Need scholarship in my first semester. There are a lot of scholarships provided by BITS, merit scholarship upto 100% off fees for students with the top CGPA, and merit cum need scholarship upto 80% off fees. There's no special reservation for any categories or gender I'm BITS.

Campus Life

5

Campus life wise BITS is one of the best places to study in India. It conducts a lot of fests through the academic year. In Hyderabad campus, ATMOS is the tech fest, PEARL is the cultural fest and ARENA is the sports fest. It has a number of clubs run in the campus on various fields, ranging from Robotics to Finance to Music to Art to Satellite, literally everything. BITS has one of the best libraries is all of Asia.

Hostel Facilities

5

So BITS Hyderabad has a lot of hostels, all world class(atleast most). Rooms, toilets everything is maintained clean, but one problem I find is dogs entering the hostel. both the messes in here are good, though some say Mess 1 is better, but it seems overhyped there's not much difference though Mess 1 seems to have better north Indian food and mess 2 better south indian, so the majority of people here being from North , mess 1 getting this hype is understandable.

Admission

I had top IITs as my first priority, but did not score well in JEE Advanced so I turned to BITS where I scored pretty well. And BITS Pilani is a university as good and as well respected as IIT. And I chose Hyderabad though I got both Pilani and Goa campus because it is closer to my home and I had relatives here, also the fact that in my Degree it's going to be BITS Pilani without the mention of campus, so it doesn't make a big difference.BITS alumini Network is considered to be even better than IITs.

Faculty

4

In lectures one teacher may teach from 50-200 students in a lecture hall, but tutorials are more interactive with one faculty teaching nearly 30 students in a classroom. And the faculty has consulation hours where students can approach them easily. Rickmoy samantha sir is the GOAT. There will be two quizzes, one midsem and one compre timed apart and it's really hard to achieve a high CGPA due to relative grading and Msc students grinding for high CGPA in first year.

Night Life

5

There's a lot of places to hang out in campus. There are hotspots open upto 2 AM, even All night canteen is good for food, the campus is huge so people hang out everywhere. The campus actually becomes active after 12 in the night. Some people study in the library till 12 , till 6 am during exams. BITS's Zero attendance policy is well received by students so students feels very free to hang out during nights and the night life is lit in here.
