Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus is comprehensive. Professors are enthusiastic to tell more about any topics and also the recent hot topics related to national and international arena. Classes are very informative. Besides sharing information about the syllabus they always try to conduct seminars and guest lectures for betterment of the students. The cons are placement issues.

Class Size: 112Course Fees: INR 1856 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

In first year we have to pay 2500 rupees including admission fees. In final year we paid 1856 rupees. The fees is minimal but yet you can apply for scholarship. Fees was same for all of the categories.

Campus Life

Campus Life is too good here. The environment is completely safe. Guards are there, smoking isn't allowed. Which creates better atmosphere. Students union organise some events on daily basis. Other than that seminars are held conferences are there and guest lectures are also

Admission

Banaras Hindu University is a central university. It has been carrying the heritage and legacy of excellence since a long time period. A great contribution of Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya. That students from all over the world come here. Also there are certain cultural courses, course on fine arts available, that attracts students. It is a matter of honour to be a part of the university .

Faculty

Theory exam is there for 70 marks. And 30 marks are given on sessional exam. For these 30 marks there is a test for 10 marks then an assignment given by the professor needed to be submitted for 10 marks and for remaining 10 marks a presentation is held.

Night Life

Central library of BHU is one of the largest library in the country. Hostel timing is perfect for girls and boys as well. For hangout students can visit Vishwanath temple BHU, Madhuban and outside Sarnath, Ghats etc. Locality is safe here.

Vasant Kanya Mahavidyalaya: a fun comforting place

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course covers all the main topics of UGC NET exam, hence my reason for choosing it. Like i said, if you study your syllabus well, you are decently prepared for half the competetive exams relevant to the field out there. Teachers could also have a more digital inclusive approach to teaching, referring to e-material out there. They happen once every semester. So that would be twice or thrice a year almost. They are moderate in terms of difficulty. One can easily sweep through them if they study well in the preparatory breaks. That much is enough to score decently.

Student of the year season 22-24

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is doing only those students who are preparing for UPSC exams and UGC net exam and also relatble to other government competative exams. Course curriculum is good but if providing internship opportunities to the students it will be more efficient in students career growth. Exams will be happen every 6 months and gap of 2 to 3 days in each subject examination, semester examination pattern is written and internal exam is viva.

Honestly speaking I did not found its placement facilities satisfying. College and university have to improve them for the betterment of students and also the image of their college. A very few students get placed from some course. It should be improved.

Remarks:

The college is good except for a few things that need to change. The teachers should get more involved in the class. The assignments/projects given to us should encourage creative thinking. The question patern should change.

Remarks:

During the admissions I had made it to three more universities, IGNOU, JMI & VBU. I come from Bihar so I left out VBU on the basis of regional speaking language. Else I would have been doing BA in Philosophy there. Coming to Jamia Millia Islamia, I had really a good course alloted, BA in Spanish and American languages. A guide to Banaras Hindu University

I didn't apply to any other colleges as I wanted to go to BHU only. The admission process is quite simple for my course. All one has to do is fill the CUET UG form for English and General Test papers, choose BHU as a college to which you want to apply to, give the exam, after the results are declared make a profile on the BHU counselling portal, choose your course and fill the form for it. I have completed my graduation also from BHU in B.Com. so i have not been to any other college to compare my experience with.
