Likes

The campus is great with many facilities for most of the commonly played sports.
Placement is great when compared to other collages

Dislikes

FFCS helps us choose the course and faculty of our choice but can be messed up easily
The schedule is hectic and we had to do a minor project along with our regular sem

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is okayish and well updated with Industry requirements this year us mechanical students have control system and microcontroller subjects which is core electrical course so the curriculum is updated

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 300000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I did my internship at cochin shipyard during my summer break and there I was exposed to all the departments related to ship building,repair and docking and how such a large organisation runs from management side.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is 3,00,000 and that is tution fees alone for mess and hostel it cost an additional 1,50,000 which depends upon the mess and room type you choose from my room is 6 sharing AC.The roommates are of our choice.

Campus Life

The campus life is well rounded while there are manu pros and cons we all mold for the rules and for boys it is more lenient and we all can have a good time and enjoy the collage life but regardimg outings and all nothing much nearby

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is okayish and better than what we expect mostly the toilets are shared and the roommates can be opted as per ranking and the room rent is also as per standard and affordable as long as you choose normal rooms

Hostel Fee: INR 100000 per year

Admission

The other collages I gave entrance exam of was Amritha and SRM which does not have the similar name of VIT and the placement is also not that great but there is also no this much rules and regulations I assume

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is extremely one sided as the student intake is huge but for our mechanical branch the ratio is okayish and there are some black listed faculties who can make you life dreadful so check with your seniors.

Night Life

Nightlife is not what comes to our mind when it comes to Vellore as vellore is only famous for VIT and CMC soo there is no night life to expect from Vellore and the night life in collage is also nil as it require permission for late night outings

Exploring SNSCT in my POV

Placement Experience:

For campus placements students of the 4th year or 7th semester are the eligible ones. Multiple companies like zoho,apple,TCS,CTS, accenture etc have come and multiple small companies too. But the intake for the big and reknown MNCs were low from abt 2-3 candidates only.the placement here is 100% but the companies may vary.My future goal is to go for a government official stream after I finish my masters abroad.

The reality of Univesities

Course Curriculum Overview:

me being a law student expected a lot of practical and theoretical examples to be presented in front of the students when I first joined in, but the reality was far less than what I expected. The professor is mostly came in read. Whatever the book said and left, gave us few assignments and group projects to be completed without any particular information from their side. We had to sit and do research on our own without any input, and then we'll go summit down the assignments or projects or whatever task was appointed to us, and then we'll have a viva through our work and that's pretty much it . The new professors who joined in by our third year, were very practical, made us understand a lot of things which the previous professor didn't. They answered a questions. They were more relevant to us because they could understand that some topics were forced on us and supposed to be taught, maybe twice or thrice just to make us more comfortable or just to make us more smarter in that area by understanding it in depth . law is one of the most interesting and difficult courses out there, but then if you have the right professor is leading you to it, you would learn easily and more efficiently. in my area of study, practical work was not very much included other than participating in mood court. It was all theory based which is not very important in a way because when you finish your course and get into the real world when you go to your corporate world or litigation side, you need practical experience and you need to understand how to do work and not just learn the sections or the theory part so something that they could have improved was rather than giving us assignments or group projects they could have made us understand and giving us real life situations or give given us more practical practice so that it would be easy for us to understand what litigation is and how we are supposed to do it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I took MCA to get placed into IT companies . The subjects in the MCA is very interesting but the students who studied UG course and then the pg course also in the same college then it is totally waste because they are studying the same subject again. Very bad thing is that in this college they are providing the same subjects and same syllabus for UG and PG students there is nothing different. But i have studies ug in other clg so for me it is different so i managed and it is interesting

The only college i applied was VIT .i applied in DKM college just as an Last option. I was not rejected from another college as I didn't applied for any college.
