Course Curriculum Overview

4

The whole course was tye subject that i was most interested in and there was no specific aspects that made me xhoose this course it was all my intrest to join . It really prepares us very well for the real world applications as they have practical experience which they make sure we do it and understand. I think having to show more real time examples is something they need to improve The frequency and timing of exams are very accurate and it is moderate level and not that difficult

Fees and Financial Aid

The Tution fees for year was 1,15,000 and total was 3,75,000 snd the caution fees was 5000 and and the registration fees was 2000 and while admission you have to pay 25,000 from the yearly fees. And the fee structure is same any categories except scholarship students.. The yearly fees for scholarship students is 32,000 and total fees is 1,80,000

Campus Life

4

My campus life was very good.. i got to experience alot of things and gain alot of knowledge and fun.. i got a lot of memories and friends and i was also given alot of opportunities to show myself and my talents. There will be one main fest every year which is the biggest fest of the college that is Gardenia where alot of people for other colleges can also come and show their talents.. and there are also other fests that happen every now and then Yes you have alot of books and journals in the library where u can acces it at any time in the college hours.. The sports is compulsory for everyone as it is a paper in every semester and u have many sports competitions that u can participate if interested and there are groups of ir interest. And there are 4 clubs which are culturals , NCC, NSS and reading and research. And u can join any club that u are interested

Admission

I applied to many colleges and got the seat also . But the reasons to choose Garden City University was that it was near and the traveling time was very less and one of my family friends also recommended the college. No i didn't get rejected form any other colleges.. the only reasons i didn't select those colleges are the distance and how long they take for me traveling There are no such exams or anything for u to get admission.. u can just join the college directly after registering for it and the they give u the college tour and u can select if u like the college and the admission experience for mebwas okok

Faculty

4

The Faculties are really very experienced and there teaching methods are something that we should really appreciate and they will help us in any aspects. Dr.Anurupoora is our HOD and one of the best teacher we have and i can literally write all my Faculties names causei all were a wonderful teachers for ous and other department students were jealous of ous for having such a wonderful teachers. They not only teach us classes but also teaches us moral and ethical principles and life lessons. There are no such teacher that i hate... There are 3 main exams and other minor exams Ther 3 main exams are mid term, preparatory and end sem exams .. and the exams are moderate level for me and 90 percent of the people pass the exams . And 10 percent of the people fail exams and also in most of the clg without paying ur sem fee they wont allow you to write exam but in GCU the good thing is they make u write a writen explanation and allow u to write exams

Night Life

5

Most of the time we are not allowed to stay in the college after 6 as there is girls hostel inside the campus and for the safety of girls they wont let us stay mostly they send out the boys fast and the night life after the college is best as all of us friends go to this place called Party hut and hangout and eat and have fun and Party Hut is every students fave spot as it is very student friendly The campus timings is from 7 am to 6 pm where u can stay even after tye clases are done.. And the hostel timings for girls are from 7 am to 9 pm. And for boys are morning not sure but still 10 pm in the night. And for me after college qas the best cause i get to spend alot of time with my friends and make a lot of memories

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of the dual degree that it has to offer, christ is one of the very few institutions that offer dual degree and allow you to explore both the subjects or gain combined knowledge of both the subjects. The curriculum is very up to date with subjects that relate to real world problems. What i like the most about my curriculum is the Learner centric approach where they divide the class into halves so that the teacher student ratio can be maintained in order to achieve full efficiency. One area of improvement can be inculcating more soft skills traininng into it.

And they do make many offers. The highest package reports around 30 LPA and the average goes on around 3 to 4.5 LPA. Around 70-90 percent get placements. My plans is to pursue higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students arw given chances to take exams and get job opportunities from there. Field trips and internships, orientations, talk shows are organized to prepare students further before stepping out for jobs. They can either take the placements they get or opt for higher studies, which is what i am doing as a degree in psychology alone does not grant a wide scope in the jobs spectrum.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements towards the final semester of their course. Currently, I have only been using the help of my faculty for internship opportunities, since I am not looking for placements. But they have connections with big names in the communication sector, and they often have personalities coming in to give talks and interact with the students. A great number of students opt for placements and approximately 90% of them do end up getting posted at really good companies. Others choose to continue with higher education. My plan after receiving my degree would be to take up a diploma in literature in the UK, while simultaneously finding myself a position at a good publishing house there.

Placement Experience:

From my seniors, I hear that 20/30 % of students from our college get placed. But now being in my final sem I know the reality. For covid and lockdown, the placement sector has been badly hit. Only a handful of companies came this year (5/6 companies). 4/5 people from our batch are placed but no placement for the big chunk of people. From 5th sem students become eligible for placements but in 5th sem, no company came to our college for placement this year. Only in the 6th sem, the placement cell started. Companies that visited till now ( some of them came to take interns and didn't offer full-time jobs) 1) Clevertize, 2) Social Panga, 3) Robert Bosch GmbH, 4) Saatchi & Saatchi, 5) Publicis, 6)PR Pundit, 7) McKinsey, 8) Edsol Edtech, 9) Momo Media, 10) MSL, 11) Genesis BC, Offers: 1.5-3 LPA (average). I plan to send CVs personally to companies through LINKEDIN and other job search platforms because the college hasn't provided us with good placement offers as claimed.
