Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course is exhaustive and requires lengthy periods of studying and lot of effort. Self study is must to excel in this course and in exams. The exams here are moderately difficult. If ome studies properly he/she can easily clear it with ease.

Internships Opportunities

4

1 year compulsary internship is there for MBBS students which include rural posting and rotations in all the departments, no other internship opportunity is there for MBBS students but that is ok as this course is already very vast.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees that i paid was 14.85 lakhs in 1st yr and 13.75 lakhs yearly from 2nd yr to 4th yr. NRI fee structure is 33 lakhs per annum. Fees for batches that want to take admission now is arpund 18.5 to 19.5 lakhs per annum in management quota as the fees has increased considerably. Fees for state quota people is less. No other scholarship available.

Campus Life

4

There are various sorts of clubs here including the book club ,the music club the dance club which have regular activities and take part in events, the seniors are really nice here and the books and journals are immense here. The classrooms have all the facilities and there are regularly spirts fests going around all throughout the year with our yearly fest named tatvam which has all sorts of events including literary, music, dance drama etc

Admission

I chose this college because this was located in Mysore which is one of the best cities and thre are all sorts of facilites there. When i applied to this college the fee structure was less compared to other pvt colleges across the country and also i had heard that the faculty here in this college is very nice

Faculty

5

All the faculty have comprehensive knowledge of the subject and are well experienced clinicians. Final years subjects have the best faculty and are very good at teaching. The faculty for the 1st yr subjects are very strict and demand discipline in all aspects.

Night Life

2

Nightlife is not much in the city and the campus has curfew after 9 30 so there is nothing much we can do at night. Library is open till 12, gym has specific timings in morning and evening and famous hangout places include lots of cafes in mysore like Glenns cafe, neon castle. Other notable places here are Mysore palace, Karanji lake. Loclity is relatively safe to roam around at night compared to other cities in India.

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.
