Course Curriculum Overview

5

I really like this course as it's a multidisciplinary course that opens a wide variety of fields for me to pursue and choose my interest.I choose these course on the suggestion of my senior and some google searches. I believe while our curriculum provides a strong base for botany, zoology and chemistry there are areas too where it can be improved: Strengths: 1.Solid theoretical foundation. 2.Laboratories experience 3.Research opportunities Areas for Improvement: 1.More integration of interdisciplinary subjects 2.More empathy on practical skills rather than theoretical 3.Make better suited for industries Teaching methods can be improved by Active learning approach and Real world case studies In this course u will have internal exams before every sem and 2 sem exams every year and its not that much difficult

Fees and Financial Aid

In first year earlier college fees was 15413 and it decreases by 1k every year and there is special concessions for pwd students In DU many scholarships opportunities are always available for under privileged students

Admission

As many of Colleges of North campus doesn't offer this course,I am left with fewer options only and I choose this college as my senior said the faculty over here is great and u will get a lot of opportunities over here, which are true. As our admissions processed via CUET scores I got this college in my first cutoff and freeze it Admission process is very easy through CUET scores u need to register for CSAS portal. Now u need to clear the cutoff. The cutoff u will you will get admission into that college. the eligibility of this course is simple, you need to have biology chemistry in your 12th.further you can give gate IIT jam GRE exams.

Faculty

5

There are maximum 60:1 is allowed as per the university guidelines and my college follows it very strictly and relationship with faculty is very good. The faculty members are really helpful.Over here u can easily approach the faculty members through call or by visiting them in staff room. I really like zoo faculty Amrita ma'am,Mansi ma'am,bot Neeti ma'am and Ranjana Ma'am.I liked their teaching style and how interactive they make their classes. I don't like the Chem faculty over here and I don't wish to mention any particular name. There will semester exams twice a year and it's easy u can easily score 7 CGPA by reading PYQ's. Here rarely a students get failed

Placement Experience:

We become eligible for placements in our third year (so the fifth semester). We can sit for internships before that. Many prestigious companies visit our campus, including McKinsey, HUL, BCG, BlackStone, BlackRock etc. The highest package offered in DU history is from our college (and my course!) which was 48.9 lakh p/a by BlackStone to a student in Batch of 2024. The average package is 10.5 lakh p/a. There were 215 final placement offers. My plans after the degree are to enter the world of finance or consulting, hopefully. I am also open to higher studies or an MBA. Maths H keeps a lot of doors open.

Placement Experience:

The students can apply for internship in the first year or the second year itself, and for the placement, the student can sit in the third year onwards. Students are eligible to sit for placement after having a significantly higher attendance, good score and a great practical resume. as far as I have observed, most of the job offers are around 4 to 5 LPA. There are a number of companies that hire from the college and the students can also apply off campus if they have a good CV. Many small and big companies higher from here, for example ferns and petals, Deloitte, bookMyShow, accenture and many more. The highest, and the lowest packages have not been disclosed clearly, and the percentage of students has also not been declared clearly. As far as I know the placement rate is pretty decent If the person has a good resume, which can be anything around 70 to 80%. My plans after getting the degree are not crystal clear to me, but I plan on doing masters in the same field from a good university, maybe abroad and then make a career ahead. Meanwhile, I also plan on doing several internships to build my resume and learning both hard and soft skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course you and college you get is totally dependant upon your CUET score. If you score well you will get a very good college with your preferred course, which makes your upcoming 3/4 yrs golden. There is no need of improvement in teaching but yet the course demands few changes to make it more flexible for students
