Student centric professional education at MSRUAS

The college and management are making every effort to impart professional knowledge to its students. The curriculum is mainly focused on providing student-centric professional education to its students. The curriculum is well planned to impart knowledge and skills to students through seminars, workshops with highly qualified lecturers. The course is so designed to educate the students on the basic concepts and also their industrial application. Efforts to impart Practical and research knowledge is made through the curriculum. The exams include three-term tests out of which the best two will be considered, the term test marks along with the two assignment marks will contribute to 50% of the final mark. The other 50% of the marks are based on the score obtained in the semester end exam. The assignment questions test the creativity, understanding of the concept and require the students to apply the theoretical knowledge in practical problems. All these not only provide theoretical learning of the topics but also trains the students to apply the knowledge to solve real-world problems

The college has good placements. So far, only two batches have passed out from the college since the B. Tech program came into existence only in 2014. Thus, the placement records have not been great so far. However, with the upcoming batches, the placements are hoped to make great heights. The university makes every effort to ensure that the student is placed.

The college organizes and hosts a number of workshops and seminars. Apart from them, technical fests have also been organized. Every year, cultural fest known as Akaira celebrated with great enthusiasm among the students. The cultural fest is a platform for the students to showcase their talent in various activities. Intercollege dance and fashion show is another platform to compete with talents from other backgrounds. The college also celebrates sports day, Kannada rajyotsava, independence day, ethnic day, thus giving equal importance to cultural values and physical activities.

The fee structure for students who have opted for admission through CET is as per the fee mentioned by the state government of Karnataka. For students who seek admission otherwise, the college application fee is 1500/- and registration fee of 500/-, both are non-refundable. The course fee is 3,25,000 per year. However, the fee is subjected to change as per the discretion of the university

No, I haven't opted for any scholarships. However, scholarships can be availed for SC/ST/OBC students. The information regarding the same can be obtained from the student affairs committee of the college

The campus is a mixture of students from various backgrounds and cultures. It is a vivid combination of students coming from far north or far south of the county and even off seas. Both male and female students can be spotted in almost equal ratios. The college has an on-campus hostel for students who opt for the hostel. However, the hostel is limited based on its availability. The college is equipped with chemistry, physics, electronics, electrical, and other necessary labs and mechanical workshop. The college also conducts debates wherein every individual is given an opportunity to come forward and showcase his skill. Opportunities are also provided to non-speakers. The Department of transferable skills also provides guidance to passionate speakers. Further, quizzes are also organized. The college dance team participates in various inter-college events grabbing many prizes.

Seniors of the college provide valuable guidance to their juniors regarding the hurdles that they faced and the methods they followed to achieve what they wanted. They are a constant force guiding us to new options in the industry as well as practical problems.

I took admission to the college through CET. The admission process was as per CET so I didn't have much trouble getting admission. Apart from CET, the university also entertains based on other competitive exam results. Admission can also be sought by writing the ruas admission test. The necessary guidelines for admission to various courses are given on the website. After confirming the eligibility for admission, the university requires the student to submit a list of documents. The process of admission begins in the month of June.

The faculty of the college is well qualified and have immense experience in teaching as well as expertise in their particular field. They have significant knowledge of working in the industry. A lot of them have devoted themselves to research in their field of passion and constantly inspire the students to pursue research. Their valued guidance is indeed the seed to make students think beyond horizons.
