Course Curriculum Overview

5

My curriculum is very good. Its hard and interesting to learn and move forward despite my subjects being hard. Im able to cope up with everything well and i study well to maintain my cgpa well for future

Internships Opportunities

5

Our college provides internships at the end of 7th semester and they focus on getting a good internship offers for the students. Sometimes stipend internship or sometimes not but getting internships depend on how students convince the company officials.

Placement Experience

4

Placements aren't guaranteed and if i work hard and hard which is of course a real thing for anyone to be placed somewhere better..where we can work better. Since our college provides less Placements we got to study hard to be among the ones in the very less ones.

Fees and Financial Aid

In my experience, the fee structure at Coorg Institute of Technology is fairly transparent and manageable compared to many private engineering colleges. For my batch, the yearly tuition fee under the management quota was around ?2,00,000–?2,10,000 depending on the branch, with an additional skill-lab fee in the first year. Government/CET quota students pay a much lower amount as per the approved university fee. Hostel and mess charges are separate, and they usually come to a reasonable monthly amount based on the room type and food plan. The fees have remained mostly stable over the years with only small, expected increases. The college also supports students with various state scholarships like e-PASS, Vidyasiri and Merit-cum-Means, which many of my batchmates successfully received. Overall, considering the facilities, labs, and the academic environment, I feel the fee structure is justified and student-friendly.

Campus Life

5

My overall experience at Coorg Institute of Technology has been very positive, especially in terms of campus life and infrastructure. The college maintains a friendly and engaging atmosphere with various cultural and technical activities conducted throughout the academic year, which help students explore their talents beyond academics. The library is well-stocked with textbooks, reference books, and journals that are easily accessible for students. Classrooms are spacious, well-maintained, and equipped with modern teaching aids like projectors and digital boards, making learning more interactive. The campus also encourages sports and extracurricular activities with facilities for indoor and outdoor games. Several student-run clubs and groups actively function and provide great platforms for leadership, teamwork, and personal growth. Overall, the campus environment supports both academic and personal development very well.

Admission

I applied for presidency university bangalore but as im from coorg it was far for me to afford education and accommodation so i joined coorg institute of technology which is near my home. The admission process was quiet simply and i managed to complete everything within a week

Faculty

4

My college has a balanced mix of experienced male and female faculty members who are genuinely committed to the academic growth of students. The faculty–student ratio is comfortable, and most teachers are approachable and supportive whenever we need guidance. I particularly appreciate my C programming faculty, as she explains concepts from the basics and ensures every student understands clearly, which really helps build strong fundamentals. The overall course structure is well aligned with the university guidelines, and the exam and marking system is fair. While every subject has its own pace and style, the majority of the faculty put in consistent effort towards the department’s improvement and the overall development.

Night Life

5

We have gym, cafeteria and mess and a good hostel which makes the nightlife very enjoyable and funny sometimes too. We get to hear lot of memories from the students around us making their own happiness and finding new ways to make hostel life better
