Likes
- I liked the green calm space. The classroom is nice.
- They don't pressurise you too much. There is no strict dress code as long as its not too inappropriate.
- Exams are usually easy. The teachers are friendly and are well educated.
Dislikes
- The campus is too small and the ground is very small.
- There is very limited options for food. There are very few labs/they are not big enough. Library is not good. It does not have any storybooks/novels.
- The area it is locates in(peenya) is very far and an industrial area. The surrounding is not ideal. You have to take another bus from the metro station.
Course Curriculum Overview
Robotics course in this college is basically a combination of mechanical and electronics and a little bit of computer. The course curriculum is okay according to me. I feel they teach more of the mechanical aspects. This would be better if they taught more of computer related. Some subjects like control systems 2 was very hard.
Internships Opportunities
The placement cells itself takes care of the internship. It is available in the 7th sem. Most of them starts from 10k upto 30k per month. These internships are usually for a period of six months. You can start your internship in the 8th sem. In the 7th sem you have to do a group project. In the 8th sem you can chose between a project or internship .
Placement Experience
Mostly placements start from 7th sem. We get companies like Turing, Tce, Genpact, Hcl, Jll etc.Average package i would say is 4/5 lpa. The highest which came recently is 13Lpa. Mostly the roles are software engineer, graduate trainee engineer and design engineer. I would say about 70% of students get placed. My plan is to work.
Fees and Financial Aid
Since i applied through Kcet my fees per year was around 90000. Its different for management. In the first year we had to pay extra 18500 . If you dont pay on time a fine is imposed. It can be even upto 6000rs.
Campus Life
There are not many fests happening in this campus. There is no proper space for it to happen too. There are many clubs like robotics, photography etc. They are run by students. According to my knowledge there is no proper sports team except soccer. Every classroom has a monitor and a projector. There are many academic/Educational books in the library. But you cant find any entertainment books.
Admission
I had also gotten presidency college. But since ramaiah was well known and relatively old. I chose Ramaiah. I had also thought of New horizon college of engineering as i studied in their school amd pu. But for the reason that i wanted a change of environment i picked Ramaiah.
Faculty
Some of the faculty are very educated and are friendly. Few of them don't care about teaching. They just read the ppts and call it a day. The assignments they give are very hectic. More than the exams.My batch had 2 exams per sem. One is internals for 50 other one for 100.. Exams are not hard. Assignments, quizes are taken into consoderation for the final grade. If you get above 92 you get a 'O' grade which is the highest.
Night Life
People usually hangout in the cafeteria. There is a separate parking for cars and bikes. The surroundings of the college is mostly industries. If you need to study/complete a project library is the best spot.
