Course Curriculum Overview

2

The course curriculum at COEP (College of Engineering Pune) is well-structured and relevant, blending theoretical knowledge with practical applications. The inclusion of contemporary subjects like data science, AI, and interdisciplinary electives was a major factor in my decision to choose this course. The curriculum also incorporates industry-aligned components, such as internships and project-based learning, which are crucial for building real-world skills. It effectively prepares students for professional and academic pursuits. Regular lab work, workshops, and exposure to tools and technologies enhance technical competencies. Research-oriented electives and guidance for exams like GATE and GRE provide a solid foundation for higher education. However, there is scope for improvement. Incorporating more case studies, industry collaborations, and certification programs could better align the curriculum with current industry demands. Additionally, teaching methods could be more interactive, emphasizing practical applications through group projects and hands-on activities. Exam schedules are well-structured, with adequate intervals between assessments. While most exams are fair in difficulty, some subjects could benefit from better alignment between theoretical and practical evaluations. More frequent quizzes and continuous assessment could help improve

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees have increased from 49,500 for OBC to 1,10,000/-.Also only one government scholarship is allowed to 1 student. For Other Reservation students the fees is still 3000/-.Also the facilities mentioned are not provided by the authorities

Campus Life

3

Very horrible, college do not entertain extra curricular activities. Hostel facilities are not up to the mark. Though Pune Start up fest is afest you should not miss. Library is good. Classrooms, surprisingly are well maintained.

Admission

I applied to multiple top engineering colleges, including VIT, SRM, and Manipal University, and received confirmed admissions from VIT and SRM. However, I chose COEP (College of Engineering Pune) due to its stellar reputation, affordable fee structure, and exceptional placement record. Compared to private universities, COEP offers a rigorous academic environment with a stronger focus on practical learning and industry connections. Its long-standing legacy and alumni network also played a crucial role in my decision. I faced rejections from some IITs as my JEE Advanced score fell slightly below their cutoff. The competition was intense, and I realized I needed to work more on time management during the exam. The admission process at COEP was straightforward. Admissions are primarily based on the MHT-CET score for Maharashtra students and JEE Mains for All India quota candidates. Eligibility requires a 10+2 qualification with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The cutoffs are competitive, particularly for sought-after branches like Computer Engineering. The overall experience was smooth, with a transparent counseling process, clear communication, and well-organized rounds. COEP stood out for its quality education at an affordable cost, making it a better choice over expensive private colleges without compromising on academic excellence or career opportunities.

Faculty

2

Faculty to student ratio is decent. Faculties do have favourite students. They mostly help them. Here also we have the concept of nourishing the cream layer and not thinking of the wela students. We have 1 mid sem and 1 end sem each semester

Night Life

2

We do not have night life concept in hostel. Girls have a strict in time for hostel ehich is 9.00pm. Cafeteria is also not upto the mark. We do not have any night events or such kind of things here at Coep

Placement Experience:

Placements at ADYPU are moderate and structred . Students usually become eligilble from the final year for campus drives. Various startups and mid level comapnies visit for roles in sales, marketing, operatioons and tech support . The highest pacakage generally ranges arounf 45-50LPA , while the average package is around 4.5-6 LPA , depending on the profile . A fair percentage of active students secure placements. After completing my degree, i plan to focus on skill development and pursue better career op;portunities.
