Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is adequate but tight and cumbersome for a new student. The course is challenging and only one who has real interest in medical studies can succeed in the course. The curriculum is clinics based and does best to prepare for real life situations.

Internships Opportunities

3

There are CME Programmes hosted every year and you can submit your research. There are projects you can submit in the CMES. There is internship in the fifth year which is compulsory along with a stipend which is low compared to govt colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid 6,50,000 on a yearly basis along with special fees 50,000, hostel fees 1,00,000 and exam fees 8,000.There are scholraships which available for SC, ST Caste and also OEC. The admission is based on the neet score and kerala state rank.

Campus Life

4

The annual and the festivals provided are really low in number compared to other colleges. The leave provided is also low, they give only 13 leaves in a year, yeah in ayear. Know that the infrastructure is just adequate, and the library facility does not allow you to take books, nonetheless there is no nonacademic library. Only the academic part is upto the mark non academic thongs are

Hostel Facilities

3

The facilities provided in the room is adequate. There ar about 4 in a room. The quality of food is good and the menu is also great. The registration process is quite easy amd you will get it once you get admission to the college.

Admission

I didn't chose this college, i got this college by allotement according to kerala neet rank after the neet exam. I got my fifth option in medical colleges according to the rank i had in the kerala rank.

Faculty

4

The faculty to stident ratio is adequate. Academically this college is in the top section with other colleges. The professors prsent here are retired govt professors and the classes are good enough. The clinics are also good and all the departments has govt retired doctors as faculties amd they are really good in providing adequate education.

Night Life

1

There is actually no night life in our campus until you are a house surgeon. There are no actual hangout spaces other than a garden space in the hospital area. There is a gym which is okay and the college is on top of a hill so there are only 2/3 hotels in front of the college. In order to get any night life you need to get to Perinthelmanna town. The hostels close at 9 pm so there is no chance for any night life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Doctors are always a need for the society. The curriculum deals mainly in healing people which attracted me towards it. The curriculum has specific competencies a student should achieve in order to be competent as an Indian Medical Graduate. These competencies are set of skills every student should acquire. Teaching should be more practical oriented and theory should be reduced. More competencies should be included. Frequency of exams doesnt affect much. but portions to be studied for each exams are bit heavy. Difficulty level is moderate to hard

Even though a bit tight and rushy, this is in fact the best curriculum provided and followed by all medical colleges in kerala. The frequency of exam is high and difficulty level is as same as that of KUHS. This provides relevant experience for the students to weite the university exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course facilitates learning in each and every department of the medical college which gives us accessibility on how each wing works..giving us an idea to help decide where we see our future. Since we start clinical practice from our 2nd year and interactions with the patients continously it prepares us for almost every situation, since it is a government college we see all kinds of people from all backgrounds, giving us a different type of exposure. Some departments have fewer faculty making it difficult for them to care for the students and patients at the same time so the students maybe left unattended. Exams occur almost on a monthly basis, some harder than the others, but all are quite easy to pass with adequate studying.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of our study is prepared by National medical council and all the government medical colleges and private medical colleges in India are compelled to follow their rules. I like medical profession because I really likes the biology I opted it. The teaching method in government medical colleges are little bit different from that of our schools since we have clinical classes to handle also other professors are very good at teaching us by the aids of projection. MBBS courses very difficult to study also very interesting to study we have early basis exams in which each exam is conducted it the end of the year since the course is five and half years, in which four and half years of teaching and one year of internship.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose MBSS out of my own personal interest. However bewarned, it is not for everyone. Its a very hectic life. There are much less faculty available for each student but that is the case in every medical college. All faculty are mbbs, PG and PSC passed. They are very dedicated, if free from other works. Exams are very plenty, almost too much for most students. Passing an exam itself is a hurdle for most people and all subjects are indeed hard to cover
