Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course as i alwys wanted to become a doctor and bring better in the world. You need passion and patience to do mbbs , it is much more difficult than NEET you have study most of the time but its not true that you cant enjoy your life its totally upto you Teaching methods can be improved if there were more practical and visualization than theory This coures train you to handle pressure and stress which dictors have to go through

Internships Opportunities

5

Since its a government medical college ww all have to do paid internship here it will give us a lot of experience and help us to become better doctor in future Since its a government college it will be of full of opportunities and a good source of learning as i visit hospital for posting i notice that it is always very crowded and has all sort of patients which will provide us with lot of new experience and knowledge.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for our first year was taken during the day of admission it was Rs 8000 for everyone. 8000 for an entire year since its a government medical college in west bengal. We can avail for swami vivekananda scholarship which aided by westbengal government, which is upto 60,000 inr. Hostel fees is also not much it was just around 170 rs for entire year, which again is very less

Campus Life

4

Our college's cultural committee is amazing all the festivals are celebrated be it diwali or new year Recently we had our freshers party where we enjoyed a lot They also kept various competitions and games for enjoyment ,we also a an amazing dj night For books we have library and a book stall is also arranged to buy books at affordable cheaper prices for students Now about technology we have projectors microphone everything and teachers show slides. Since few sites are under construction but still we have a temporary badminton court ,our sports committee also arranged several tournaments last year. We have committee for various things like IT, Cultural, sports etc

Hostel Facilities

5

The rooms are good in girls hostel we live in room of 4 and have a personal washroom but our new batch that us our juniors also got mattress and mirrors with their room i am so jealous of them Food in mess is okay and they have variety and options Registration process was eay we just had to fill the form and rooms were alloted on a lottery basis. Hostel is vey inexpensive just rs 170 for entire year.

Admission

I applied for many government medical college in the all india counselling the cit off everywhere was to high, this college was my 80th around choice and i got this in my counselling, i honestly didn't knew where jhargram is but still chose this college as i didn't had any other option also since it was in my state. And i got it in 3rd round i lost hope but then this college made my dream come true. The admission process is quite simple you just have to arrive on the date limit they assign you from the counselling and they you have to fill all the forms provide them with all the necessary documents, the staff is very calm and helpful also on the days of admission our seniors were present there to help and clear our doubts

Faculty

5

The faculty for every department is enough for the entire batch. We have lectures with one teacher but practicals are fone in groups so it is easier for us to study, teachers focus on students and make sure we are active, we also go for postings in hospital where the doctors are very supportive and are always motivating us to be good doctors in future. Now if talk about test and exams we had 3 semesters in 1st year and then finally our professional exams. The faculty for exams and examiners were very strict in checking the papers. The theory exams are quite very difficult, one has to study entire year to pass our proff exams. Few students failed the exams but i passed as i was consistent in studies and had good attendance. About attendance principal is very strict and if a student has low monthly attendance they are called in the office, she herself checks the camera to see the students and surprise us randomly in any class by her appearance which shows how much they care about us students. My favorite faculty was biochemistry department as they were literally the best teachers and focused on everyone and also very supportive My least favorite was anatomy because our hod is very strict. Now i am in 2nd year i attended few classes and all the faculties seems supportive and fun they are very approachable and always there to make mbbs subjects interesting

Night Life

4

This place jhargram isnt much developed and us a small town it is developing more and more because of iur college, we see lots of cafes and restaurants have opened after our college its only been 3 years The histel timings is around 8pm at night we have 3-4 female guards at girls hostel all the time , we have to maintain a register about going out and coming in details which checked by the hostel superintendent and principal maam Fomous hangout places - petuk ,its like very famous everytime we go there we always find someone from our college, but my favourite is green psrk restaurant and the bong pizza which newly opened We also have a zoological park and many forests But there is always threat if elephants at night

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is completely based on NMC new guidelines. Along with the theory classes where we know the structure and their working in dissection we actually see them on cadaver . Lectures should be more interesting as it's get boring to literally listen the concepts for first time like a story and at the end we forget everything

Course Curriculum Overview:

Medical field is a really good field in my opinion to serve humankind and learn about science of nature and life!the curriculum is a little overpaced and there are 19 subjects which are taught in a timespan of 4.5 years which is a bit hectic! There are 4 professional exams and 9 semesters which have pretty good difficulty and assess our skills and education. We have regular examinations in around 4-5 months each. Only thing id like to change in the curriculum is better assessment of many topics which are taught pretty well but aren't examined much leading us to waste our time in focussing on them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well, mbbs is very hard and long term process. You will be bored in 1st year because you cant get real clinical cases. But in Final year, 3rd Prof Part 2, you will get huge pressure. Because there are total 11 subjects, you should study in final year. It is a great burden for all. I'm not satisfied with Nmc curriculum. They are not thinking about students. They are implement their rules in chilled ac room. But they don't know the real scenarios.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite planned and great and has a lot of advantages in having a clinical and learning diagnostic approach to various diseases. One area where the curriculum can improve is by having more practical classes rather than theoretical classes. The exams are quite difficult but are quite planned to make you understand the clinician and the passing percentage is 50 percent.
