Likes
- Study in our college is good as there are many teachers in all departments but sometimes it's too boring. I think all the medical Colleges are same in it.
- Campus is good though construction work are till now going. There is many trees around the campus.
- Hostel facilities are good.Now our hostel is not completed so we have to share a small room with another student.
Dislikes
- Library is not so good till now, not so much books are available.
- Hostel work should be completed as we faced problems for room's small size.
- Canteen food is good but if it becomes more good then better.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose MBBS as it is the most prestigious profession. It's my childhood dream to become a doctor. Because I want to save lifes of people. In hospital we can experience real life struggle of people, many problems related to them. Syallabus is very vast as compared to time given. After 2 to 3 months there is a exam.
Internships Opportunities
West Bengal govt offer internship in our course. Duration is 1 year. Stipend is around 30k but we have to work day and night. Very pressure in internship in all govt medical colleges. There is many projects happen in our classroom by our faculties.
Fees and Financial Aid
In 1st year I had to pay 8000 now I am in 2nd year,in 2nd year I had to pay 6000. Tuition fees, admission fees,lab fees and other compulsory charges are included in this price. Registration fees we have to give separately as in 1st year we have to pay 4000. All my batchmates gave the same amount. As I am a general category student and my father is a retired primary teacher I am not receiving any scholarship. But there are many scholarships available for other categories also for financially lower students.
Campus Life
There is fresher program yearly also fest can happen at any time. All ocassions are occur in our college as Saraswati puja, Rabindra jayanti etc. sports are happening yearly or any time. Our library is small till now there are no many books. Advanced technologies are used in classroom, projecter, ac all are available. There is a student union also.
Hostel Facilities
There are bed, table, chair, almirah provided by our college. 24 hours power and water supply. Drinking water is good. Meal quality is moderate,all types of food are available here. Simple registration process for hostel as per nmc curriculum. Fees are 12 per month without food. Food charges are based upon your choices. There are many rooms available around the college.
Admission
In 1st counseling I got this college. I applied for upgration but nothing happened so I am in this college. By the way all medical Colleges are the same as basis of study but yes hospital duties can be different but not so disappointing. I never got rejection from my college. Admission process is very easy as per nmc curriculum. We have to secure rank in all india Medical exam for admission in this college.
Faculty
As it's a new college so in some department there's no suitable faculties are available. Faculty and students bonding is good. All faculties have helping nature. Abhishek sir, Sumit sir my favourite faculties as they teach us very simply. Sukanya mam is not so good because there is lack of communication with students. As per nmc total 9 sems in 5 years, exams are taken very seriously. Exams are difficult and moderate also. Very few students fail to clear exams. The course is very relevant as in future we can save lifes.
