Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course curriculum is regularly updated as the college is a VTU based as well as autonomous college. Here, curriculum is 5 modules per subject which is prepared for completion within 3 months before the SEE. Exams are conducted every month with the CIE1 and 3 being moderate with the CIE2 being a bit more detailed and comprehensive. Lab exams as well as projects are also accounted for the final marking systems for final sgpa accounting.

Internships Opportunities

4

Mainly, the opportunities for internships come from wipro as well as other small companies. There are also communities within the college which help provide adequate steps to guide students through the internship processes.

Placement Experience

4

Companies such as Microsoft, wipro can be seen here for placements. Placement can be easily achieved in this college as it's placed in Bangalore, an it hub. A lot of opportunities is available here for on campus as well as off campus placement, especially for the engineering based fields.

Fees and Financial Aid

To get a degree from BMS College of Engineering it costs me around 5.5 lakhs per annum, evaluating the total to approximately 20 lakhs for the 4 year degree. For other departments like CS-Data science it costs around 5 lakhs per annum. The college also provides scholarships through VTU and government based as well. Completing a degree from here gets you a VTU-Credited degree which is worth the money spent.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is serene here. Overall it's quiet and peaceful during non academic days. Lots of clubs are present as well for Dance, music, gaming, arts, and so on. There are clubs present for every department as well, where each club focuses on the particular department field, providing seminars and hackathons.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel and mess together costs around 80000 and it is worth the money. Hostel provides good facilities with decent Wi-Fi access as well as lab ports ( not all rooms ). Regular cleaning is done as well by the cleaning staff if you require them to do so. Mess provides both non veg and veg options. Mess provides food morning, afternoon and night with snacks in the evenings. Saturdays, food is only provided until the afternoon, for proper cleaning procedures for the mess to be conducted on that day.

Admission

Had applied for BIRLA institute of technology as well as MSRIT, but BIRLA was a bit too expensive based on fees for my liking and MSRIT was a back up option. BMSCE is an old and reputed college, dating back the 1950's, also being one of the oldest private colleges in the country. So getting admission here made it a no-brainer option to go for. Reputed college with good facilities and placements. It is also one of the very few colleges which provides Artificial Intelligence courses so it was perfect for me.

Faculty

5

The departments mostly consist of 20-30 professors and teachers. Faculty is good as they provide support to students if needed. If necessary, classes can also change their respective faculty teachers if they don't find their teachings good enough for them. There are also proctors who are responsible of taking care of students within the campus, acting as a parent in the campus activities. There are 3 CIEs conducted every semester witch one final SEE. The 2 best marks out of the three CIE's are taken for final counting. CIE's are generally moderate exams but the exams are conducted 2 subjects per day making it a bit hectic. It is quite hard to fail exams here as the 3 CIE options give students a bit of flexibility as well.

Night Life

4

The hostels have a 9:30 deadline for all student to get back into their respective hostel blocks. Ok saturdays the timing is 10 pm. The campus also has a library which has literally any book you need respective for study purposes as well as research. There are various snack hubs and cafeterias as well located throughout the campus. The college is located in basavangudi, which is a sage area in itself, with the college security being as strict as necessary during night times.

Other Applied Colleges

Birla Institute of Technology and Science - [BITS] | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Computer Science)

Birla education was too expensive for me liking.

lacements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology Placements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology are decent overall, with stronger outcomes for CS-related branches and moderate but reliable opportunities for core branches like Chemical Engineering. ???? Placement Eligibility Students generally become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester (final year). Some companies also allow pre-placement offers (PPOs) through internships after the 6th semester. ???? Companies Visiting the Campus ???? Common Recruiters (Across Branches) TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini IBM L&T Deloitte (limited roles) ???? Core / Chemical-Related Opportunities L&T Reliance (limited roles) Schneider Electric Saint-Gobain Some manufacturing, quality, and operations-based companies Core chemical companies visit in limited numbers, so many Chemical Engineering students also sit for IT, analytics, and operations roles. ???? Packages Offered (Approximate) ???? Salary Range Highest Package (overall): ~?40–50 LPA (off-campus / international offer, mostly CS) Highest for Core / Chemical roles: ~?8–10 LPA Average Package (overall): ?7–8 LPA Average for Chemical Engineering: ?4–6 LPA ???? Job Profiles Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) Process / Quality Engineer Analyst / Consultant Software Engineer (for interested students) ???? Placement Percentage Overall placement rate: ~90–95% Chemical Engineering: ~60–70% Students with good CGPA, internships, and skills tend to get placed earlier and in better roles. ???? Employability & Skill Development The college provides: Placement training sessions Aptitude and soft-skill workshops Coding and interview preparation support However, students are expected to upskill on their own, especially for core industry roles or higher-paying profiles. ????
