LPU Campus Life

I would rate LPU's course curriculum as less relevant and not that much comprehensive. Some course curriculum don't strikes a good balance between theory and practical appliation, but not for all there are some courses which are perfectly designed.

Review of Fee Structure and Scholarships at Lovely Professional University (LPU) Semester Fees: 2023: The semester fee was INR 80,000. However, after clearing the LPUNEST esam with a high grade, I received a scholarship that reduced the fee to INR 60,000 per semester. For four semesters, this amounted to total of INR 2,40,000. 2024: The semester fee incresed to INR 90,000 per semester. Examination Fees: 2023: Examination fees were set at INR 4,000 per semester. 2024: This fee has been raised to INR 4,500 per semester. Hostel Fees: 2023: For a 10-month duration, the 4-seater hostel cost INR 80,000. 2024: This fee has increased to INR 90,000 foe the same 10-month duration in a 4-seater accommodation. Other Charges: Placement Preparation Charge: A one-time fee of INR 10,000. Alumni Registration Fee: A fee of INR 1,500 upon graduation. Scholarships and Finacial Aid LPU offers various scholarships, primarily through the LPUNEST exam. Scholarships are merit-based, and many students have been able to significantly reduce their tution fees based on their LPUNEST scores. For instance, in 2023, a scholarship for achieving a high grade on the LPUNEST resulted in a reduced fee of INR 60,000 per semester.

LPU host variety of events that enrich campus life and encourage student engagement. Notable festival includes: One India, One World YouthVibe Hackathons and Technical Fest { like: Smart India Hackathon } Music Concerts {Singers like Sunidhi Chauhan, Darashan Raval, Satindar Sartaj and many others have performed in the campus } The library is extensive, with a vast collection of book, e-books, journals, and research papers across various subject. Classrooms at LPU are well-equipped with modern teaching aids like projectors, and some classes with smat boards, CCTV cameras for survillance, Wifi Connectivity. Also have BYOD (Bring your own device) Room where we can carry our laptop for Practicals. LPU offers an impressive range of sports and fitness facilities, include a football field, backetball and tennis courts, a gym and indoor sports arenas. Extracurricular activites are diverse, including drama, music, dance, and debate club.

I applied to several private colleges all of which had strong reputation in my field of study. Ultimately I chose LPU for these reason : Have well equipped labs, libraries, and sports facilities. Have high placement rate. Have less fee structure as compare to other private university.

Faculty-to-Student Ratio and Faculty Approachability: LPU maintains a reasonable faculty-to-student ratio, esuring that classes aren't overly crowded, and students get sufficient attention. Faculty members are generally approachable. Some faculty members stand out due to their dedication and expertise but there are a few those who just deliver the ppt just to do their work from their side. Their teaching method could be improved. Some may stick closely to textbooks / ppts and lack engagement with practical application, making their class less impactful.

Campus Facilities and Timings: Library: open from 10 AM Morning to 12 AM Midnight. Gym: Open till 10 PM Food Courts: Most of stay open till 11 PM, Some of them open till 8 to 9 pm and there is one that open till 2 AM.
