Course Curriculum Overview

4

RV college has tried designing the to keep it relevant to the current day jobs and their students can get good high paying jobs. but the course taught is not up to the mark some times as the syllabus is not completed and then teachers took the extra class to complete it before the exam since there is ETC the student can choose from many topics which they find interesting like drone technology,IoT and many more and can gain knowledge from experts in that field

Internships Opportunities

4

since internship is a serious matter in rv college so students are allowed to sit for internships from second year only there are lots of companies coming for internship but simillarly the point here is u need to over shine your resume by doing projects to get one if u prepare decently in college and had done projects there is a good chance u will gwt an internship offer in second year only and i third year college is a lot serious about internships so it will also try its best to get u one

Placement Experience

4

the on campus placements are decent since its one of the best college in banglore therefore most big tech companies come in rv college so there is a good chance u will get placed in rv but due to emmense competition u need to do some extra projects to over shine your resume since i am from EEE my brach placement is 10.8 lakh but if u get in CSE or IS your avg package will be around 19 to 20 lakh which is great considering most colleges cse branch dont cross 15 lakh line and if u want to go for higher studies there is lot of oppourtunity due to the great alumini network due to which u can get a referall in your dream college in which u want to got to

Fees and Financial Aid

fees structure through FIRST-YEAR COMED K admission, the total college fees is 281477 (two lahks eighty-one thousand four hundred and seventy-seven) KCET admission the total college fees of 147495 (one lakh forty-seven thousand four hundred and ninety-five)

Campus Life

4

college life is great if u consider the crowd but the campus life is awful as construction is going on all the time, therefore, the grounds are not accessible the sports complex is not accessible to some of the paths are not properly built due to which it gets a lot muddy after rain the college campus size is small as compared to other colleges in the neighbourhood for the clubs as i already told there are lots of clubs so a student will find a hobby or interest in clubs since there are so many clubs there are events which keep on happening conducted by different clubs so campus life gets interesting in a social way

Admission

my main objective was to get into iit but was not able to and got 20k rank in advance the i joined Jaypee College cse sector 62 as my backup as if I didnt get admission in any college cause ididnt applied for many colleges I then got admission in rvce so i left jaypee as it has better placement, better grounds and for me fest happen on a regular basis like once in 2 months RV college is good in most parameters but i would say is of tier 3 level if it comes to greenery and campus life it has lot less hostel rooms so most students live outside the campus in pg

Faculty

3

FACULTY of rv college is skilled and helpfull they know what they are teaching and has very good experience for some subjects u dont even need to study before exam as they teach so well thatu understands everything in class. But all is not good while some teacher are all excited to teach but are strict too sometimes they wont give attendance for not bringing book or being 2-3 minutes late they will help u when u ask questions or doubt.

Night Life

2

since the college gate s gets clossed at 8 or 9 therefore college students dont know the nightlife outside campus but in campus tafter dinner everybody gets out for a walk and there is not that much crowd so u can get anything from canteen without being in a big line nightlife ouside campus is not great too as there are not many shops near college campus if u want to go out with your friends if u live in a pg there are not much to do but since boys being boys we use to wal 2 to 3 km just to drink tea at 2 to 3 inthe morning so overall there is not much of a night life in rv college

Other Applied Colleges

Jaypee Institute of Information Technology University - [JIIT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

i didn't opt for jaypee as RVCE has better placement and internship opportunities and the campus is bigger as compared to jaypee with fest getting conducted in 1to2 monthss

Students in my college have a very good amount of campus placements where students become eligible from the final year 7th semester however the placement cell starts training from the 1st year means 1st semester itself like training for aptitude test, coding and mock interviews. Top it companies like TCS infosys, wipro, Accenture, capgemini, cognizant, IBM, tech mahindra mind tree. The campus receives 300+ offers. The average package 8 - 10 LPA and highest package 54 LPA. Every year 90% students are placed. After my degree i am planning to higher studies in abroad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is generally detailed and aligned with industry Expectations but there is still scope for modernisation in certain areas.Overall i would like to rate 8/10. The syllabus include both theoretical and multiple lab components which ensures hands on learning. The practical labs like programming work and project with learning help students understand how concepts are applied in real work places. A few theory heavy subjects feel outdated and no longer match the current industry demand this could be revised or replaced.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester, but the overall placement scenario in DSCE for CSE is below average. Not even 50% of students get placed in good companies. Most students end up getting offers from mass recruiters or in sales and non-tech roles. Only a small percentage of top performers get decent technical packages. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, and a few mid-tier companies visit the campus, but the number of high-package, core-tech roles is very limited. The average package is on the lower side compared to other top COMEDK colleges. Because of this, many students plan for higher studies, certification courses, or off-campus drives after completing the degree. The on-campus placement support definitely needs improvement, especially for technical roles.”
