Likes

They have good concern for girl safety in and around the college campus.
Teachers make sure no student is left out in the class.
Allow students to take different skill developing subjects in which ever they are interested.

Dislikes

In the starting of semester, timetable is mismatched sometimes
There is no specific auditorium in the campus .
The Canteen food in the college is not very much good .

Course Curriculum Overview

From the starting i knew i liked sociology as a subject and wanted and wished to study it further. But for philosophy i was clueless but philosophy as a subject surprised me. It is actually very interesting and have deeper meaning in reference to the real world outside.

Class Size: 52Course Fees: INR 13000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Since I'm not in the third year yet and have not received any internship opportunities through college yet but regardless of this, one can apply for internship depending on their time management and inetrests, there are varioud companies and Ngos like Pehchaan that hire freshers and give them opportunities.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for bachelors of Arts that I am pursuing in the first year was 12903 rupees, excluding the exam fees that we have to pay while filling the exam form and selecting our subjects for exam. The fee structure is moreover the same, no major changes were there in the fee structure. The examination form fee would be around 1110 rupees that you have to pay every semester.

Campus Life

In the last 1.5 years that I've spent here in my college, we've had one garba themed evening and a two day fest days and a diwali mela this year around diwali. However besudes them there are many events that happens in almost 1-2 weeks. Interested students can also participate.

Admission

I applied several colleges but on my top 3 list were LSR, JMC and KNC. I got admission at LBC. I just prefered those three colleges more as they had better faculty system abd were more convenient for me to reach daily from my home.

Faculty

Overall the faculty in the college is good. I am ftom Sociology and philosophy department, and i like sociology department faculty a little more than philosophy. All because teachers at sociology are more understanding and cooperative. However, some teachers at philosophy faculty are also very nice and cooperative with students excluding some teachers who are not. Teachers are approachable if any student is having difficulty regarding any subject.

Night Life

I am dayscholar and hence I'm not that much aware about the night life around the campus. But hearing from my friends who live there, it's good and night life around the main campus is very lively. There are various hangout places in kamala nagar, and main north campus as well.

Truth About Hidden IPCW (DU)

Placement Experience:

Since i am 2nd year myself, hearing from seniors, seeing placement cell activities and reading reports, placement at ipcw are decent but far from perfect. The placement drive is not as huge or reliable as some commerce Acc. to the nirf report, for ug courses out of 1204 eligible students 118 got placed, which is roughly 9-10, for pg course, out of 100 eligible students only 6 got placed. Median package for UG was 6.20 lakhs per annum, and for pg is 6.7 lakhs per annum. In earlier years (2022-23) , median UG package was higher. The highest package went to 23 lakhs per annum which was quite impressive. It was from DE Show and co., Wipro, Capgeminie etc. there are regular recruiters like DE. Shaw abd co.,Wipro, Capegemini, Godrej properties, Sirion Labs etc. What i feel personaly as an eco hons. student unless i build extra i cant really expect placement. Masters and competetive exams are next option
