Course Curriculum Overview

3

Bcom Hons curriculum is considered obsolete even the university has amended the course. It's also a pity that the best college in the country is not able to implement it practically and business knowledge till date is being practiced through rote learning.

Placement Experience

5

A lot of students don't actually sit for placements as they want to pursue professional courses or UPSC or Masters but from the number of students that sit in placements, almost all get good jobs in the industry. SRCC is famous for its placement and internship opportunities. Highest package is about 40lpa and average is around 12-14lpa. 95% of students get placed. I am pursuing CA so I'll sit in placements for articleship

Fees and Financial Aid

Total Fees: 33425 Includes Admission, Development, Lab, Library fees. There are numerous scholarships read the SRCC handbook of information for more details. Some of them are HN Maheshwari Scholarship, Alumni Scholarship, DU Scholarship

Campus Life

5

Naming all events won't be possible but the biggest ones are Crossroads, Business Conclave and the TEDxSRCC annual event. Fest season in DU is around Jan to March. There are more than 60+ societies in SRCC which help in the overall development of an individual. There are more than 4 floors of books The sports complex is huge and has a variety of opportunities for all. Societies as mentioned earlier are very developed in SRCC and have a huge impact when deciding which college to choose. Some of them are Enactus, TEDx, 180DC etc

Admission

I applied to this college only and it's because of it's brand image. The placements are worth it here are well. 12-14 lpa is the average package which is higher than many of the IIT's as well. SRCC has many societies which make this college the best college. The societies are highly active and more practical knowledge is imparted by these societies rather than the classrooms of SRCC. Admission is through the CUET UG examination and the General Cutoff for 2024 was 782/800. The admission experience isn't very pleasant because NTA conducts the exam but the University has a good mechanism for admission and I truly appreciate its efforts in streamlining admissions

Faculty

Faculties are pretty much approachable Best Faculties (1st Sem): Renu Agarwal Ma'am, Dipika Bansal Ma'am, Smita Sharma Ma'am Faculties you shouldn't get: RK Sah He is the British era teacher with unnecessary strictness for unnecessary things. Attendance is an issue in DU and he'll not give you attendance no matter what. He'll make you stand for issues not under your control like having chalk and duster in the class and turning on the Air Conditioner. Relevance of the course curriculum is decent but the way it's taken in college is obsolete. The practical aspects are often ignored and the curriculum stays to the traditional rote learning style.

Students from 3rd year onwards may sit for placements. There are several companies visiting our college for placements, such as Zomato, Tech Mahindra, EY, MagicPin, etc. My plans after getting the degree personally include pursuing a PG degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculam is well-structured and covers all the core subject relevant to the field . It help in building strong theroritcial knowledge but lacks enough real-world case studies and industry exposure . Exam are conducted regularly and are of moderate difficulty . Adding more project-based or skill oriented components would make the course more practical and beneficial for placements or higher studies .

Placement Experience:

When students enter 3rd year of their college , they are eligible to sit for placements but should have minimum 8 CGPA .A lot of companiess visit campus , details of companies are on the website of college. The highest placement till now is 20 Lakhs per Annum and average goes around 6-7 Lakhs per Annum. A decent percentage of students get placed. Honestly most students here are pursuing professional courses so they don't sit for placements instead continue with their courses .
