Accounts of my college life

The positive things are that my college offers a wide range of facilities to the students be it in academic domain or in extra curricular fields.The research labs and other labs are well equipped with all modern apparatus and softwares.Our college also provides transport facility to the day boarders. Regarding the negative things I can say that food quality in some of the mess should be improved and also administrative works should be done in faster way and more smoothly.

Our course curriculum caters to the needs of the students.Theory as well as practical helps one to grasp the subjects .Also the topics are kept keeping in mind the requirements of industry.Regarding exam I can say that we have 1 mid sem of 20 marks and I end sem of 60 marks.The rest 20 marks are continous evaluation consisting of assignments,quizzes and attendance.

Placement is fine especially in the circuit branches like cse , etc , eee etc.The core branches also offer placement but intake in the core companies is less.Various start-ups and giants come to our college for recruitment purpose.

Different festivals are celebrated in our college.Like we celebrate Saraswati puja,Ganesh chaturthi eto.We also have Kiit fest and Kiit Esummit every year.Apart from these Independence day, republic day etc are also celebrated in our college.March past is held on Republic day.

The fee is a bit high considering the fees in other colleges. However if you make good use of the resources provided to you by the college then it will be worth the money spent.The lab apparatus are well maintained and other facilities make the fees worth it.

Loan facility is available in our college.You go to any bank and you will get education loan if you can show the required documents.Our college name is there in the list of colleges entitled to get student loan.Scholarship is there for respective branch toppers and also for those who have exceptionally well in the college entrance examination.

KIIT offers a vast range of outdoor sports,extra curricular activities .There are various societies which one can join. Singing,dancing etc all have their respective societies.Also our college have big stadiums for cricket and football. The cricket stadium also hosts the ranji trophy matches.

The hostels are of varied types like a.c.,non a.c.. The hostels are good and well furnished.It satisfies the needs of the boarders and attendance in hostel is done through biometric.The wardens are very helpful too.

KIIT maintains a strong alumni network.They are of great help during placement season.The reputation which they hold in their respective companies help the upcoming batches to get a good placement.The senior students also help the juniors be it in the lab or reading room.They are of great help and experience.

Some faculties are extremely well and they teach very good. They are highly qualified and also have industry experience.They try to share their experiences with us.However few faculties are not of that stature. They are inexperienced.
