Course Curriculum Overview

5

Me choosing this course was totally interest oriented as I wanted anything that would include medical science wherein Ill be able to help the people who would suffering through certain problems Our course is eye related and provides the primary care and diagnoses related to refractive error and other ocular diseases The difficulty is not as harsh as MBBS course bt is not as that easy as well so one shouldbnot take the course easy and sincerely give in their hundred percent in it

Fees and Financial Aid

So the fee structure is divided as per semester. During each semester we are supposed to pay a certain amount which is different for people with other reserved categories and consession holders General category: 22000 per semester ( total 6 sem for the entire course to get completed Obc category: 11000 per semester St/SC: 500-1000 per semester These fees include the tuition fees and other institutional requirements To avail the hostel an additional amount of around 6000 is to be paid only if the room is allocated. Apart from this we have to pay a certain ammount before the University examination that is the exam held once the year is over . Like the final exam of first year second year etc. This is all which is required in terms of the fee

Campus Life

5

Our college life is just perfect and u have the correct amount of people with me. It also provides us with other opportunities like sports cultural activities and other events like conference and presentation. We have an annual cultural event called as plexus And a conference known as GOMECON And there are also other events taking place as well

Admission

I wanted to try for armed forced medical college as I wanted to serve the army along with the medicine and other requirements but was not possible as I couldn't score much in neet and I had to settle for whatever I was getting and I was happy with it. If I had studied a boy more I would have been able to get into my dream college Me choosing smgnc was completely my choice as it was nearby and I could travel and be home on time and also manage my other activities and studies as well without loosing on the time I get to enjoy. Our course requires the NEET entrance exam to be cleared and the admission is started once the results are out by filling the form for admission and the rounds are started

Occupational therapist helps people in being independent after they have been injured or anything. I love this course because we give activities to patients and through that we give therapies and that's a good thing.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very vast and sometimes not really reciprocating the future career point of view. More focus on the indian context rather then the Western is needed. Curriculum should be more focused on what the scope of the course is rather then focusing on the wider aspects. And the teaching methods need a lot of improvements, such as the students should be given the top priority and not the syllabus. Giving incomprehensible assignment won't help much rather having interactive sessions and faculties actually taking efforts and making the presentations rather then putting it on the students will really help a lot. Exams are very distored one semester sometimes take more then 6 months and sometimes the semester is rushed within just a month or so. Students have no idea when the college will place their next exams. No regular updates are provided regarding the facilities provided in the college.
