Dislikes
- Being a very large campus the college section still needs improvement in its old building as it is about to crash. The roads need improvement inside the campus. It takes a lot of time to travel from one place to another for lectures.
- The condition of boys common room is very bad with just one table and a couple of chairs. As a result boys face a lot of difficulties such as durinh lunch time there is not enough place to accommodate everyone.

Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is very vast and sometimes not really reciprocating the future career point of view. More focus on the indian context rather then the Western is needed. Curriculum should be more focused on what the scope of the course is rather then focusing on the wider aspects. And the teaching methods need a lot of improvements, such as the students should be given the top priority and not the syllabus. Giving incomprehensible assignment won't help much rather having interactive sessions and faculties actually taking efforts and making the presentations rather then putting it on the students will really help a lot. Exams are very distored one semester sometimes take more then 6 months and sometimes the semester is rushed within just a month or so. Students have no idea when the college will place their next exams. No regular updates are provided regarding the facilities provided in the college.
Internships Opportunities
Internship is provided by the college itself which is within the campus. Students are posted in various department wards and OPDs monthly for a total period of six months. The total stipend is 7,000 rupees. The stipend is very less as compared to other course. It needs significant improvement. I haven't yet done my internship but been hearing experiences from my seniors. It is a bit stressful but a good practical experience is achieved. Simultaneously they also need to work on their thesis.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
There are total 8 semester covering the 4 academic year. For a general category student the total fee per semester rounds up to not more then 20000 rs. So the total cost of the course comes upto 100000 rs. The examination fees per exam costs around not more then 10 thousand rupees. If your are answering supplementary double the amount of the first attempt. If you are applying for challenge evaluation of the results it costs 5,000 rupees per paer which is very costly. Scholarships are available as per cast categories but as mentioned earlier the regular updates are not sent on time. As of not I haven't undertaken any campus employment but after my final year I will be doing my internship which given stipend of 7000 per month which is practically speaking very low as compared to the work done as well as what other courses in the same college receive.
Campus Life
I was also a part of the college council and the head of my department. We conducted many events such as hostel opening party in the month of may. Freshers is conducted annually in the month of April Or may. Medicall ball is also a annual tradition which we did in October. We also had the biggest intercollegiate fest of the state named PLEXUS in March. I was also a part of the organizing committee of the GARD -MSN marathon conducted for spreading awareness regarding diabetic foot prevention. Various awareness programs are conducted in the college on a large scale. Speaking about the accessibility of books, the general medical books are available but there is need of increasing the number of books available that are specialised for occupational therapy students. The student run groups such the the college council that is the goa medical college students association and the IMA -MSN college plays a crucial part in engaging students in fun and other academic activities.
Admission
Rhe admission process is through answering NEET UG. Once results are out one needs to apply online to the DTE GOA website and wait for the eligibility list once the eligibility list is out offline rounds are conducted which are notified on the DTE GOA website. Seats are allocated during the offline rounds. A total of 3-4 offline rounds are conducted. Once the seats are allocated the student's need to visit the college and complete the admission process along with the medical fitness test. Reservation of caste categories as well EWS for general category is available. The only scope of improvement in the admission process is the cast reservation as the seats are very less there is no point in having further reservation through cast. The eligible ones if they are competent enough should get the seat easily.
Faculty
The faculties have decent qualifications but apart from few exceptional ones most of them take least efforts to focus on students. More concerned about the academic performance through passive learning rather then students welfare and focusing on active and interesting learning. I feel the faculties are competent enough just need to adopt a different point of view.
